The year-by-year coverage continues with 2000 and “Halloween Horror Nights X”.

Matt and Quint begin a new milestone in the history of Halloween Horror Nights as they begin their coverage of the Icon Era.

The Scarezones start off the conversation with the four sacrezones for this event: Apocalypse Island, Clown Attack, The Gauntlet and Midway of Dr Morose.

This years shows are recapped starting with Jacked Up, The Festival of the Dead Parade and of course, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure.

In this special episode, Matt and Quint draw on their combined 20 years of experience attending Halloween Horror Nights to try help in planning your first visit. From explanations and personal experiences with the ticket options, to where to start your night depending on what ticket options you go with. They’ve also included some important “what not to dos” from their experiences to help you get the most your of your first time visit.

The year by year coverage continues with 1998 and “Halloween Horror Nights VIII: Primal Scream.

Matt and Quint start with trying to find the answer to why the hell Matt didn’t go to HHN 8 when we was living and settled in Orlando that year??!?

The Catacombs of Halloween Horror Nights – 1996

The year by year coverage continues with 1996 and “Halloween Horror Nights VI: Journey into Fear.

Matt and Quint discuss second appearance of HBO’s Tales for the Crypt The Crypt Keeper as grand marshall of this years even.

From there they discuss the shows the year – “Welcome to my Nightmare”, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure”, and “Tricks, Treats and Trances”.

They fall into a lengthy discussion of the the addition of “The Crypt Keeper’s Festival of the Dead Parade”.

Scare Zones are discussed with great reverence once again.

The 3 hours of this years event wrap up the main content – “The Crypt Keeper’s Studio Tour of Terror”, “Toy Hell: Nightmare at the Scream Factory”, and “Universal New House of Horrors”.

The year by year coverage continues with 1995 and “Halloween Horror Nights V: The Curse of the Crypt Keeper”.

Matt and Quint discuss prelude to the “icon era” with the addition of Crypt Keeper from HBO’s Tales from the Crypt to the event.

From there they discuss the shows for the year – “The Price is Fright”, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure”, “Rock of Ages” and the first night lagoon show “The Crypt Keeper’s Revenge: The Knights of Hell”.

Then they lament over missing the shows 1994 – “The Price if Fright”m “Robosaurus” and most of all “The Devil and this Show Girls”.

Their mode turns 180 degrees as the finally, and enthusiastically, discuss the first official Scare Zone for Halloween Horror Nights, “Horrorwood”

And inspired by a surprising alteration to the Bill and Ted’s show, the hosts name the “third wheel” they’d add to the Excellent Halloween Adventure.
