  1. Congratulations on two years of weekly episodes. That makes me feel guilty about being late listening to and responding to this.

I caught “Invasion of the Dinosaurs” on DVD, and it reminded me of “Land of the Lost,” which came out in September of 1974. I’d like to hear your comments on “Land of the Lost” comparing the US and UK effects this close in time and probably (considering it was a Sid & Marty Krofft Saturday morning childrens’ show) budget.

Two advantages I can think of (besides choosing stop-motion) are that it was 17 episodes rather than six, so more time could be spent on it before being interrupted to go to Peladon, or the Daleks, whichever was next, and that non-plot-driven sequences could be created for use as stock footage to stretch the budget.
