The show that takes an in-depth look at the classic BBC Series “Blakes7” on character at a time! Following the "In Character" format from NEOZAZ.com, "Blake7 In Character" features a single character each episode and explores their history, back story, and details in more depth you would ever need.
I do like Grenlee and this episode in general. More specifically, one of the things I like about B7 is all the grey areas. Grenlee and Forres (sp?) are “the enemy” but are developed to be real characters with families, friendship, humour, wit, an understanding of the politics inherent in a (somewhat) corrupt system, etc. They are just faceless grunts to be mown down in the name of freedom. Just like trooper Par (my fave 2nd tier character – he has endless possibilities). So when our “heroes” are doing some murdering it has value in the sense of emotional impact. As it should. Insurgence (and civil war) are brutal in this way. Unfortunately, the Andromedans don’t get much characterization. So its harder to care about the galactic war, I think. Less impact.
