Beer number 2 in the 13 beers challenge, and my first time playing with Rye malt.
“Chainsaw Splatter”, named for the ever present tool of terror at Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights, is a red rye ale.
I’ve always wanted to experiment with rye, and from what understand it contributes to brewing, a beer named after a chainsaw seemed appropriate.
The rye is the main focus on this brew, but I did want to make it drinkable so I did put a little thought into the accompanying malts and hops.
How did it come out? Check out this episode of “It Beer Yet” and find out!
