Dave quit halfway through episode one and came back only for the finale. He explains why a backstory with a mad scientist and a super-serum ruins Jason for him. Then everyone moves to a campfire for true ghost stories: a demon beckoning from a building site in Marlton, New Jersey, an old woman on the attic stairs, and two grandparents in the dining room.

Horrifying Hunter, Devilish Dan and Appalling Ash reach Ear Today… Gone Tomorrow (season 7, episode 12, aired July 12, 1996), the last traditional live-action episode of Tales from the Crypt. A safecracker who has lost his hearing turns to a mad surgeon with some very unusual transplants. Along the way the hosts find out they read the wrong comic, share their favorite gross-out body horror, and visit the Crypt Keeper's "Slaymart." Final score: 3, 3 and 2.5 severed thumbs.

Ya Gotta See Them Live – Blues Traveler

Dave makes the case for seeing Blues Traveler live, from the four-ish times he's caught them since 2023. It starts in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, where John Popper lived for eight years and was a regular at the movie theater where Dave and his friends worked. Then come shows in Reading, a free front-row night at a Quakertown band shell, a solo Popper surprise at Oceans Calling, and a 90s triple bill with Spin Doctors and Gin Blossoms in Bethlehem.
