Star Wars In Character

Star Wars In Character is the show about the Star Wars characters that usually get overlooked: the background aliens, bit-part pilots and one-scene wonders. Each episode puts one of them under the spotlight and digs into who they are and where they came from. Running since 2011 with more than 500 episodes, it’s the longest-running show on NEOZAZ. Its newest spin-off, Star Wars In Calendar, looks at what happened in Star Wars history on a given date.

Star Wars In Calendar – August 13th

Chris, Dave and Luke flip the calendar to August 13th. In 1982, Star Wars returned to theaters for a summer re-release carrying the very first trailer for Return of the Jedi. That sends them down a rabbit hole of famous trailer drops, from The Phantom Menace teaser and Meet Joe Black to the vintage reels they used to sneak onto screens at their old theater. Then they remember Kenny Baker, the man inside R2-D2, who died on this date in 2016. Plus spelling bees, Friday the 13th marathons and a spirited debate over The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.
