Today we are listening to an episode from the Columbia Workshop library.

The title of this episode is “Carmilla,” first airing July 28th, 1940, on the Columbia Broadcast System.

This story’s original Victorian-era novella was written by Sheridan Le Fanu and was adapted for radio by Lucille Fletcher. It’s a tale of a father and daughter that take in and befriend a lost and injured young woman. This mysterious woman stays with the family, the more evident it is that she’s not exactly what she seems.
