Interesting listen. Shame that Freeman was always having to play second fiddle and never properly got an episode to himself. Even The Responsibility Seat seemed to be more about Straker.
Also nice to hear a mention of George Sewell’s appearance in Rising Damp, clearly playing on audience familiarity with his Special Branch role as a trustworthy copper. Remember a line where he was questioning Rigsby & co. and someone mentioned the intruder being “in shadow” – always wondered if that was some kind of in-joke.
