0:10 For listening to Pass the Popcorn, the movie review podcast. That’s right, yet another movie review podcast on the internet. But here’s what this podcast has that no one else does: your hosts, Chris and Tim. Hello, welcome to… Pass the Popcorn. I was waiting for Luke to step in Pass the Popcorn. I was waiting for you. You know, what’s weird is I put up my like finger to him. I was like, wait. They so so so so you would go, but no one went. Oh, because I was expecting Priscilla. Bad is the popcorn. There was a time that Luke was so tiny he wasn’t even on the show, and it was so much easier. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was a superior show. It was a superior show. That I don’t I I miss those days. But now he’s, you know, he’s on everything. Even if he’s like not on, if we do like an episode of something, if he’s down here doing something beforehand.

1:11 He’ll hang around the next episode of whatever we do, just to, you know, listen. He says he says just be part of it. when he gets that job. When he when he finds that special someone. and moves out of the nest. And into that person’s nest. Hope he’s not a bird. Yeah. You just look out back. This isn’t. We always say this every time we record. We have to do it better. We have to start. That’s what everybody says. Make the show better. Better. We have to do this earlier or faster. We got to do it months late. We got to do we got like between Tim’s moves he’s seen that I had I didn’t see and vice versa and the combinations there were like 30 films. Seriously. It’s it’s gonna quick I I have I have fifteen on my list. 16 on my list that I’m going to talk about, but there are some that I literally just crossed out and said, no, we’re not going to talk about.

2:16 So I crossed out like four or five. So, but it has been, it has been. I think the last time we did this was at the end of June. Well, I’m looking up because I. But that’s when Tim was up here. Yeah. It can’t be. We did one after that. ‘Cause June and now it’s September, it’s early September. I don’t believe you, Tim. I think we did. I’m look I’m looking now. Oh, I just saw it Pass the Popcorn was on on iTunes, if anyone’s out there. you know. It’ll all one Listener. Where was it at? Pass the Popcorn. Where’s where to go? Yeah, I don’t I I honestly I do not remember when we did the last It was when was up here. Whoa, this that has to stop. Because this is our last episode was no, it was released. July 29th. Oh, so it has, it’s only been a month. Yeah, it’s been minions, monsters, biwani. Oh, yeah. So it has, it’s, yeah.

3:22 So, yeah, it’s been a month. The one that was released July 6th, we probably did when Tim was up. That was Toy Story, Supergirl, and Master of the Universe. Yeah. Yeah, so all right. So it’s been a month. Yeah. Well, it’s just we saw a lot of movies. But that’s the thing: I was off for I was on vacation for a week. And what did we do, buddy? We saw, I think, seven or eight movies that you saw three. You saw three in a day. We saw three in a day just last weekend. Yeah. Last year. Last Saturday. And it was a very last-minute thing. We saw we saw Terminator 2. the 35th anniversary and then it was over like 927. We saw what nine thirty was um Follow me. And I said, I ain’t driving back here. I said we’re already here. Do you want to do it? And look smart and he goes, You want to do it? And I know that’s his way of saying, I’ll do it. Yeah. You know what I mean? He’s like, I’ll do it, Papa. It was weird to see. We haven’t done that. And since mom worked at the theater back in the day, but it was rough, it was a long.

4:25 Long day. I just has been a very long time since I saw three movies. The one time I remember seeing three movies. Was I don’t remember what all three of the movies were. One of them was Movie 43. One of them was Amazing Spider-Man. Two? I wanna say? And something else. And This is back in the day before I had Uh this is possibly back in the day before I had movie pass. But and I didn’t have money to see all these movies, I was poor. I still I mean, I still am, but I was poor. And so I would, I would, uh Figure out the times of when movies were playing. And I would be like, okay, I’m going to see this. You really map it out. Yeah. And when I lived in DC, I did the same thing because at then I was, I really had no money. And so that’s how I was able to see movies. I would, on the weekends when I wasn’t working, I would. Take the subway to One of the theaters that one of the I had like three or four theaters on my rotation.

5:28 And I would plan it out. So I would see one movie and then sneak in to see another movie. Like, oh, I’m going to see this and I’ll see Catwoman. Back in that time, it was so much easier to do that because there were no assigned seats. You can just go in there and sit, and that’s your spot. Simple as that. No one’s saying, Hey, you’re in my seat. You know what I mean? I actually, I was in a movie. It wasn’t a movie I I s skipped into, but I was in a movie and I was sitting in someone’s seat. I didn’t I I was just got in the wrong row. And I was like, oh, I am in your the wrong seat. So I remember having to get up. It was like a mom and her I’ve seen that then all the time. Because the letters on the staircases aren’t that bright. And when it’s dark, you can’t really see. And people do that all the time. Oh, this is Jay. Oh, I’m okay. You know what I mean? No, and I can I saw them like looking at me and I was like, and before they even came up and like, I think I’m in the wrong seat. And then they come up, this is Ati. And I’m like, oh, cool. And you can always, you can always tell when someone’s in the wrong seat because someone’s walking up, looks down the aisle, and then brings out their phone again and looks at the same thing. Yeah, there’s, there’s, there’s, yeah, there’s certain, there’s a, there’s a telltale sign. I mean, I have that, I have that at work because I have a lot of people that come into where I work.

6:46 It has to use a bathroom. I always, as soon as they come in, I see they always stop in one spot. Their eyes go to one spot, their eyes go to another spot, and then they come up to me and say, Is there a bathroom here? Well, it’s almost the same almost every time. It’s like A, one, two, three. Are they are they really honestly using the bathroom? Are they trying to sneaking. No, they’re they they’re they’re looking for a bass. Yeah, but but I can’t walk in. while pissing and then asked, where’s the bathroom? But I mean, there is no bathroom where I’m at, like that’s that they can access. Yeah, it’s it’s not like we have like a like a secret bathroom, but they all think we have a secret bathroom. And there and and we sometimes will get people like, well, where do you go? And I’m like, I we have a bathroom you know, but you can’t get to it, you know. Well, that’s the thing. A lot of employee a lot of things like for bathroom for employees only.

7:47 And a lot of people don’t understand that. Like, when you can’t go into certain places and use the bathroom unless you buy coffee or something. Well, yeah, you know, it’s, it’s, it’s not even. It’s like Starbucks is. Yeah, yeah. It’s, it’s not even that. It’s just that we don’t have. I’m like, I, I’m like, why would I lie to you about us not having if we had a bathroom? I would let you use it, but we don’t have a bathroom for you. Right. Anyway, that’s neither here nor there. We got a shitload of movies, and we’re just going to go down. The oldest to the newest, and we’ll jump in of what we Tim’s seen and I see, and it’s just going to be just. Just ride along. Just ride the wave. Hopefully. Did you guys eat before we started this? Yes, yes. Can you eat? Yeah, I had a ham sandwich. I was like, I can’t. I need to eat something. We What a c what a cow makes? I’m kind of like Code’s code. Chicken. With like peas and noodles all mixed up, it’s called salmon. She made like a like a casserole. Not a cat, it was like a hot casserole then, I guess, but it was, it’s, it’s, it was really good though. And it was crock potted.

8:52 Cockpotted. Is that a word? All day long. So the chicken just fucking just tore apart. Yeah, maybe not. Yeah, it was casserole-esque. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then we had our celery. Then we had our celery and peanut butter, which is our snack of the evening sometimes. And I just like, I love, I can’t eat celery. I can. By itself, it’s boring. Yeah. I just don’t like that. With peanut butter, oh, it’s pure heaven. I have a hard time eating peanut butter in the evening because. What? No, because it like forms like a. It gets all oily in my stomach. Yeah. And like if I’m If I’m lying the wrong way, like the oil, like it almost like it, it’s almost like S reflux, but it’s not. It’s just like peanut butter, like coming back up. Yeah, you know. This is hard. This is, God, we haven’t even talked about anything yet. I delivered this a story I wanted to tell you and mom, Ashley, and I forgot. And Tim’s.

9:54 This description of today? Yeah. This happened this happened today. I went to the hospital. I got to go desktop to to to desktop. And I saw this this man in a wheelchair. Pretty big man. With, you know, the the bathroom robes on, whatever the the hospital gowns. However, like he’s sitting there and he has a nurse helping him. She’s looking at me because. She knows. I can see what’s happening. Tim, I can’t describe it. It looked like his. It looked like either a piece of skin you or Ball sack. And I’m not making this up was the size of like 15 footballs and it was just running in. It was hanging down Like almost touching the ground where he would sit in the wheelchair. And I was just bothering him. He probably had like a crazy infection or something going on. I was like thinking, what is that? And then I also had gynectophilic with the fake balls? No, it was a gigantic, it was something huge. And I just wanted to take a picture of it and later on zoom in and say, what is this? But it was just, and then I had, then I parked at a hospital, at a doctor’s office.

11:12 And there was a big opening, three handicaps and two spots. I parked right there. I do my shit, come back out, and some, you know, some old guy will be with like a cane. You know what? He blocked all the handicapped spaces. UPS doesn’t even do that. Yeah. And I said Nothing. I didn’t even, I didn’t even, he was right. I was blocking parking spots, but I can’t bargain anywhere else. Anyway, back to the show. The oldest movie we’re gonna go back to. is Motor City. Which you saw. I remember I remember we talked about this. You saw it. Or did I s did Did I see this? Did we already talk about Motor City the last one? No, no, no, no. I think you saw it, but I hadn’t seen it yet. I don’t think you did. I think that this one was something that came out last time. You saw it. Yeah, we did talk about me and you. Oh, on the last episode and Pip didn’t see it. But I don’t think we gave full details of it. I mean, it was.

12:18 It’s it’s we love Reacher. So yeah, it’s I think we have blind blinders on That he’s in a new one coming out soon, the runner, which we have this past week’s. Mystery movie I heard. It’s getting torn apart. Everyone’s hating it. I have Reacher blinders and when I see him. In a movie, I enjoy it. Yeah. And Motor City to me was like a pretty cool like 90s ish action film. with Part of this movie, there’s hardly any dialogue, which made it fun, interesting. And it’s him kicking ass in the 70s, right? It takes place. Yeah, late 70s, early 80s. Yeah. And I enjoy it for what it was. It’s not an Oscar winner. It’s not going to be. Gone here and gone, but I enjoy. Those kind of movies. It’s a movie that definitely was made. On purposely different. Like it really was like a movie that was. made almost as like an experiment.

13:20 Um, and it is, it, I mean, there, it, it’s, it’s essentially a silent movie to a classic rock soundtrack. Yes, you’re exactly right. And that was a great soundtrack, too. It was. And that. There was one song that stood out. There was a Fleetwood Mac song, and it was. Uh how when it came out of the surround sound. They was, it was the, it was him getting arrested and taken to jail. It was that. And they they remixed the The uh The sound, so the drums were like a quarter beat off. And so it it made it sound like the made it sound like the drums were echoing. Through the theater. It was, it was really. a cool effect. And I think um Jack White. was the music supervisor. on this so It so he selected a lot of songs and I guess did chose the remixing and that sort of stuff. But it was who’s the best Ben Foster. You had Ben Foster and you had

14:26 Pablo Schreiber as the corrupt cop. And Ben Foster, I love him and and and everything. He’s such a he’s he plays a great Dick, such an evil motherfucker. He’s so cool. I mean, we’ve been following him. For years. Like he, I first noticed him. Mm TV show Six Feet Under on HBO. And then the first time I really noticed him was in The Punisher. Is he in? Jon Bernthal? No. No. The the the the um let’s um The guy Ray? Is it the guy? Ray. Stevenson? No, no, the 2003 or 2004 one. Oh, Dolph Lundgren? No, that’s fucking name. Oh, my God. Thomas Jane. My God, I got it. Thomas Jane. It is Christ. Yeah, we met who held you, buddy. Mm-hmm. He played he played Dave like when uh There, when he goes in and pulls out all the little facial things, Dave, little Dave.

15:28 I’m gonna introduce you to a new world of pain. Was Ben Foster in a wet? Was he in that 3:10 to Yuma or some Western? Yeah, yeah. He was the bad guy in 3:10. Every time I hear him, I think of that. Movie. He was in that other Western, that kind of Western with Chris Pine. Um I have to bring up his uh Chris Pine, like from the guy from Taylor Sheridan, Chris Pine, then you mentioned yeah. Well, Taylor, I saw that I forget what I got, I’m gonna bring it up though. He was in the boxing one. Yeah, the boxing. Yeah, yeah. I hated him in that. He was so good in that because he was good in that. But that’s why he was so. He was fantastic. And he did such a great job for me to say. Hell or High Water. That’s the movie I’m thinking of. which was written by Taylor Sheridan. Yeah, and I didn’t watch that in theaters and one di one morning years ago. Up early. I was like, everyone’s in bed. Let me see what’s. And then he’s seen it. I’m like, ooh, I’ll watch it. And it was good. Yeah. It was good. Even in that movie, even though he’s not.

16:33 Bad guy. I mean, I th it’s there’s not really a bad guy in this, but He’s just kind of like the fuck up in that movie that. causes the bad things to happen. Right. But like Chris Pine and him were brothers. It’s a cool movie. If you if those If the person that’s listening to this hasn’t heard the one person Motor City, though, I really enjoy. This is my kind of movie. It’s not, it’s, it’s this, this is what I like. I like Reacher. I like. him. I enjoy his his presence. I like the no dialogue. I really had a fun time watching. And they had a cool elevator fight. Which makes sense been so long. Yeah. And Pablo. And I even also love Pablo Schreiber. I think he’s really fucking cool. I even told Luke, which I was exaggerating. I was like, I think. This isn’t this now Trumped Captain America is no, no. I know that too. I know that too. But the point I was saying was: that was a kick ass fight, and the guy’s leg. And then he grabs it and he tries to put it back. Yeah.

17:37 Yeah, Pablo was good. Publisher. Hey, Pogmore Sammy, did you give I, you know what? I’m going to give this one 3.5. Five. I will say this now after all the years of doing Pass the Popcorn. I my first reaction when I give my rating I don’t know. I think sometimes I’m really generous or really mean. As I as I look at my rating, I gave it four and a half. Yeah. Cause I just enjoyed it so much because I like him. And I like that Timmy said that. It’s different. It wasn’t like like the the ordinary action film. It had the the no dialogue was like really intriguing like where you You knew what was going on without Well, there were parts where Like the the no dialogue, it was really heavy-handed. You know, you have this like overly melodramatic, like holding the ring and staring at the ring and there was some slamming something down and the dead look and like ah, and like the overly dramatic gestures. You were absolutely correct. There was kind of comical, but you know, but it worked.

18:54 It worked, yeah. For what it was. For yeah, exactly. How many buddy? What do you give it? Well Oh, he liked it less than you liked it l less than me. That’s fine. You’re allowed to. All right. The next one Dave was on a little bit earlier. Um The Dink on Apple Plus. I don’t even know what this is. Hold on. Tim, bring it up. It is. Who’s that guy? From the board? Oh, Jake Johnson. Jake Johnson. I do like Jake Johnson. I do like Mary Steenburgen. It is a funny fucking movie where you find. Like there was 10 chuckles in the first half an hour. Ed Harris is in it. Ed Harris was in it. Yeah, Ed Harris. Ted Danson’s wife was in. Chris Parnell. Oh, Lennon Parham, who I like Lennon. I like her. Ben Stiller. Yeah, he had a little bit of a cat. It’s funny as fuck. It reminds me of a 90s. Like a Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, kind of like a Tommy Boy 2 kind of thing. That’s like those kind of style movie. And it was.

20:00 Funny forcing them. I can I can I already Can tell that I probably wouldn’t like this very much because the director. Uh Josh Greenbaum directed. Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, which I would be all about. They also did strays, which I really liked. You like this movie a lot, Tim. It was we watched it open a weekend, like at home on Apple Plus, and it was just funny and and Dave oh wait this is when we John McEnroe. Red buddy? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tim? John McEnroe, I think, plays himself. Um Every scene that he’s in, and then I wish. He didn’t do this at the end. At the end. Yeah. He has food. It’s either like a hot dog or a soft pretzel or like a slice of pizza tam. Dog is the size of your arm. The fucking pretzel is enormous. And the pizza was like, it looked like a pie, but it was cut at a triangle. And then, and then someone’s like, well, you, you.

21:04 They sell some pizza here. He goes, no, I brought this from home. I like McEnroe when he shows up in movies. There’s something about him where. He’s always he usually shows up in comedies and he’s but he’s always funny. Tim, I’m telling you, this is this is your I would think I would probably want to see this because it’s better than bus boys. It is better than Lafaymore. Well, I’ll say this: it might be better than a bus boys. I gave it two and a half. I gave it 3.75. Five for the jammer’s stuff. Alright, the next one came out a long time ago and now it’s the biggest movie I think of all time. Spider-Man, what’s it called again? Brand new day. Brand new day. Which I think brand new day. Um. I mean, I know people love these movies. All of these movies are great. I. Personally. Think that these are flawed movies. I think Tim just hates Spider-Man. Tim has really talked down about.

22:11 Spider-Man films. It’s the Tom Holland ones. He’s really not like the first one, I think it is Tom Holland of the four. The first one is the is Almost flawless movie. The second one I think is the funniest one. And he hates the multiverse. That’s why I hate the multiverse. He hates multiverse. So this one had nothing to do with the multiverse. No, but it’s a continuation from the last one. It’s a continuation. At the end of the second one, when MJ finds out that he’s Spider-Man, and then all of a sudden the world finds out that he’s Spider-Man. It’s like, all right, we’re going to get a real Spider-Man no more. Get out. And then we get we go to the next one, and then it’s like fucks player man no more. We’re gonna do this multiverse so we can stunt cast and throw all this shit. the shit in rather like play on nostalgia rather than push things forward. Go back, go back to the well. Oh, well, people like those movies, so let’s bring all those old villains in. For no fucking reason. And then at the end of the movie, have everybody forget that he’s Spider-Man.

23:15 And so in this movie, there’s no friends. And so the So the side characters are less. Let’s uh important to well maybe not important must involved Um and so this one this one I think is Probably the weakest of the four in my opinion. But it is still good. It’s still a good movie. I think I thought it was shit. They explained why do you think it’s killing it in the box office then? Like, why is it avatar now? Like, one of the other things. Because people love Spider-Man. Um, it came out on so many different formats. You had 3D, you had 4DX, you had ScreenX, you had IMAX eventually. Um And so and you and you also have people going back and seeing it. multiple times, which I saw it. I’ve seen it. We saw it twice, right, buddy? Yeah, back to back. I’ve seen it three times. Weekends. Yeah.

24:16 But there’s a lot of things in this movie that don’t make sense to me. But I’ll say the things I liked about it. I love that they introduced Jean Grey. Yes. I love that they brought in Jean Grey. Instead of multiversing it and saying, Oh, hey, well, here’s a here let’s go with one of the other Jean Grey or the you know. Uh so I liked I thought that was great. Um I thought the accent sequences were awesome. I didn’t understand why the hand Was I remember you were saying that, yeah. Um, that to me was like, what is the hand doing here? And it never really, and it still doesn’t really make sense. Um Yeah, but I mean, but in general, like, I thought, I thought a lot of it was really great. I did think it was emotional. I thought. Punisher was A little goofy. And I don’t understand why, when at the end of the movie, when he’s doing his thing at the end.

25:19 That he isn’t being arrested. Like, he’s like, he kills. You know, he’s killed hundreds and hundreds of people and yet he’s allowed you to sit there. in the in the hospital and uh not not be arrested. So There’s things that didn’t make sense. All right, well you you you you you said you say what you need to say. I think I think the chemistry between him and the Punisher I think is phenomenal. Yeah, I think they’re like real-life friendship shows on the screen. Um Jon Bernthal is just Perfect punisher. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. I got something to say. He is fantastic. I think the Hulk. And the Punisher and and Spidey scene. Phenomenal. I thought that was fucking one of the best. Marvel action moments and the MCU universe. So far. I don’t understand. Okay, I I don’t understand this. Okay. I thought the Hulk

26:21 Yeah, and and the last time we saw the hook, which was what, the l the adventures? I thought he had gotten A hold of the whole Hulkness. And all of a sudden, he had it on. He’s wearing that Apple Watch, whatever it was, to control him. But Jean Grey took it off. Took it off. Yeah, but. I thought when when when in Endgame. He had already like was able to Blend the two together so he could be smart hulk. He was, he was Bruce Banner. He was wearing that back then in that one, but no, but if he was able, but he seemed to say she. He did wear in She-Hawk. Yeah. He seemed happy to be. green hole. In those things. And then this one is like, no, I gotta keep it hidden. And oh my God. Well, guess he’s just afraid of what’s going to happen if it comes out, I guess. Yeah. I mean, well, I can’t, yeah, I get that. But, yeah, you know, we had already we got past that like 10 years ago. Man, Tim, I’m shocked. Shocked that Tim is not for me.

27:23 I think this is the best Spider Man movie. Everyone’s saying that. Everyone’s saying this is the best of the Tom Hollands. I got four words. Of them of all, even including the other ones. What Andrew Garfield and Tobey Dancing? Yeah. Okay. I have four words, two words for each of you. Luke, two guns. Luke, you’re done. Chris, you’re dumb. Why do you think, and I hate to say this because I’m a huge, I’m a more of a… DC guy. Why do you think, like, Supermans and Batman’s, like, like, why do you think Spider-Man is really? This shows you the Spider-Man, like Tim said. Could be everyone’s favorite hidden superhero. Yeah. To anything else that comes out, he’s funny. He’s got that youthful spunk. I guess so. It’s less serious. So he’s able to. You know, and and I I Spider-Man is I love

28:25 The old uh Stan Lee Spider-Man, like those first hundred issues of Spider-Man. Are so fucking great because It’s it’s about Peter Parker. And that’s what I like. I like the I prefer the Peter Parker stuff. To him as Spider-Man. I mean, I understand for a movie and it’s called Spider-Man, it’s gotta be Spider-Man. But the Peter Parker stuff, I think, is the best stuff. And I think that Tobey Maguire handled. The Peter Parker, being the Peter Parker aspect of it really well. I think. Tom Holland. Awesome in the first two. It was an awesome Peter Parker in the first two. Movies of his. But peop I think people love the Peter Parker, but the Spider-Man is the icing on the cake. Yeah, that’s it. It was, it was, I mean, it’s it’s it’s killing it. I think it’s like third or fourth now in the top films of all time. Who’s your favorite Spider-Man, Tim? Uh the uh the I I like the Tobey ones.

29:30 I think the First two Tobey movies are. The best Tobey movies, or the best Tobey movies, the best Flint movies, the first two. I think I said, I think I sent you guys a A list of them. Yeah, you’d have to find it. But I think I sent a list of ranking them. Well how many popcorns, Tim? I mean it’s for This one gets three. Oh. Tim? I got two words for you. Two words for you. You’re dumb. Um five here. Five. Yeah. I I I loved it. I liked all the callbacks to the comics, like the cover arts were appearing. They even played the spearmint, the old spearman thing. Yeah, I like the Andrew Garfield when she buries her back in the web. Like that happened, and this kind of like it had flashbacks to all the other. Spider-Man’s like when he’s learning how to shoot his jiz web out of his hand. Yeah. You know what I mean? It was, it, it, it,

30:33 Had nice callbacks too. And you called back the first time. That he was watching Part 6 back. Yeah, I saw that immediately. Yeah, on his on the there’s a Star Wars reference. Every Tom Holland movie has a Star Wars reference to it. Even even in even in Civil War, he’s like, you remember that old movie? Yeah, the old movie. Yeah. When they fly around the legs. Uh alright. Spider-Man’s done. Um all right, let me say a few that that we’ve seen, then then Tim can give some of his. This is gonna be fast. Dave. Dave Force me and ask me. And Luke, we saw Corey Feldman vs. the World. Short and sweet. It was at the Mayus Theater. It’s how many years ago, buddy? How long ago is this 12? How long ago is this? 10 years. What? How long ago was this movie made? It says 2025. Yeah, this came out last year. Where? Where did where did this come out at? It’s about his personal life of what he went through. I mean, it is a piece of shit. He’s he’s yeah. Of his angels.

31:40 His dancers, Corey’s angels, how he treated them. There’s rumors that they were sex slaves, almost like a cult. A sex cult. He’s just, it’s his way. But come back, come back, king. It was horrible. It was horrible, but it was fun to watch that. I I would I would this this I haven’t seen this movie, so I can’t say for sure. Remember that. That Joaquin Phoenix movie that came out a bunch of years ago, uh, where he had the beard and And he wouldn’t change characters. Not change it. He would stay in character for this role. This is what I think. I think this is one of those. Like, I think that this was a loosely scripted. I don’t know, but it was like it was a bus tour going around to where he’s doing these nightclubs and bars with his Corey’s Angels, where he met his wife, but they’re no longer they’re not married anymore. It’s and we s something Dave and I saw him in concert, you know. Unfortunately. Twice.

32:41 Is he upset about this movie for coming out? I think so. Yeah. That’s why I don’t know when it came out a year ago, but I never even heard about it until days of hey, the Amazon State is showing it. I’m my guess is that they that this is a purposely Like marketed movie to make it seem he like. This is a controversial movie. He doesn’t want you to see this. This is all marketing. He probably. Wants you to see this movie, but I think what it is, is he’s leaning into. The negative press. and is playing up that character. People. I mean, I don’t know how he is afraid. He might be a piece of shit, but. I have a feeling that this is all part of the plan. It’s it’s it’s like the Joker. Yeah. I didn’t give any popcorns’cause I don’t I just don’t have any. interest in reading it. I don’t know, it’s it’s not playing anywhere for me to see it other than that.

33:44 Tenth. If Corey Feldman Near you, would you go? Tim would, I think. Just for the experience. If I wasn’t working and I, you know, and it wasn’t too expensive. And if you had nothing that’s better to do. Yeah, I mean, pretty much. Cause there’s a lot of concerts I go to because that I that I’m like, oh, I’m not working tonight. Oh, and yeah, I’ll go see them. And so there’s a lot of things that I do, but it’s just because I have the night free. So I’m like, oh, I’ll go see so-and-so. Pim would definitely go see Corey Feldman if he had time to. He would he probably wouldn’t go out of his way to see him. But like, Tim. Yeah, well, I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t like to say, oh, he’s going to be here in four months. I’m going to buy my ticket. I’m going to get the VIP. You know, it’s not going to be like that, but. I do, I honestly do think that Corey Feldman is Playing a goof on people. I really think he’s. That’s his brand. He’s just, he’s just, he’s just a jerk. He thinks that. His shit don’t stink, and it’s his way or no way. Do it like this. And again, everyone loves to hate a villain. So I think he’s playing up the role.

34:54 uh as as as a villain. I think that’s what he’s doing here. I don’t I mean he’s he is He is Much wealthier than we give him credit for. I think a lot of people think that he’s this poor guy. He’s making good bucks. He’s doing a tour with a Um Wil Wheaton and Jerry O’Connell, they’re doing a Stand by Me tour where they’re always reading or watching the movie and shit with like the audience and and everything. I do believe that this is a Constructed persona. Do you like Nintem? I like some of his early work big time. I was always a two Corey’s fan. I don’t have a problem with him. I mean, there was a time where I was. Thinking, oh my God, this guy’s going off the rails. But I don’t, I really don’t think he is. I think that this. I he he might be crazy. But I think he’s he’s kind of discovered that if he just leans into it.

35:55 He could be more successful than to fight than to try to fight it. I mean, two thumbs up for this guy. I didn’t see the film, but Two thumbs up. Um the the next one, which Timmy didn’t see one night only? Did you say they saw that? I did not see that. I I didn’t really Uh want to see it. For real, no? I had no I had no interest in seeing it. It’s like the purge. It had a twist. Oh, sex. Yeah. You can’t have sex. It’s the purge. No, you can only have sex one night a year. Yeah. I’ll tell you what turns me off for this movie. It’s him. I know you don’t like him. You think he’s like, I do not like Callum Turner. He doesn’t bother me. And she, I adore her. She’s so cute and adorable and like when she’s acting in this movie. It looks believable. She’s great. I mean, I do like her. Um Clever little twist like about one night only you can have sex with, you know.

36:59 Anybody, and just how they how they met in the it’s a sweet movie, it’s it’s stupid. But it’s still Sweet movie to watch. Callum Turner reminds me. Mm-hmm. Early James Franco. And I really hated James Franco when he was first starting out. Oh, yeah. I can see I thought he was a terrible actor. I still don’t think he’s a very good actor. Have you seen him lose his mind on TikTok? No. Lately? Yeah, he’s been. He’s been like filming himself like Like insane. Like, you gotta watch these. On drugs. I mean, he looks a mess. He looks a mess. And even when’s his name? His brother? What’s his Dave Franco? Dave Franco. Talks of Like, whenever he talks about whatever his family, he never says his brother James. He just says my family. Like, he never brings up James Franklin’s name anymore. because James Franklin has been cancelled. But um This was cute, Tim. It’s a cute movie. And the whole time, you see side boobs on her.

38:03 I mean, I do like her. I think she is. Uh I think she’s Great. I liked her in that the Bob Dylan movie. Um, she’s got some stuff coming up. Let me, let me, where’s that moment? Where’s she at? How many pop words would you give it, buddy? What do you give it? I asked you first,’cause you don’t know mine. give it a three. I gave it 3.25. Uh oh. Uh oh. What if I pass it over? Then I’ll say one more and then Tim can give budgets and then we’ll go back to what we both saw. All right. Um Last house. It’s on Netflix. Tim and Tim will never watch this. Time will never watch it. I kept seeing the hype online on social media, like how everyone’s watching Last House, Last House, Last House. So we watched it. It is it’s a town or a neighborhood where it starts raining. Everyone gets trapped in their house. They, they can’t, the rain is controlling like the doors won’t open, the windows don’t open for fucking years. Am I right? Yeah. Where they’re growing, when the kids are growing, like five, six years, you know, their time’s passing.

39:20 But the whole moral of it is they’re putting a garnet in their house. Yeah, they’re they’re like they’re making crops and they’re fucking Living room. Yeah. The whole thing though is that it’s it’s about It’s They’re like ocean creatures. Ocean creatures, like ocean gods. From the old books or whatever that that were here first. like taken over the earth. It was I thought it was going to be better than than everyone was hyping about. It was just Once and done. You know what I mean? It’s like, and it starts the girl in the movie, don’t know her name. She was fantastic. She’s the voice of. The Lily Pad and Toy Story 5. Oh, Greta Greta Lee, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. She was she she was good. And it’s it’s a movie that after a while, you know, oh, we’re home. That’s oh, this is great. Then after a while you go nuts a little bit, you get d each other’s nerves and everything. But it was and it was just it was just like a creature. Horror kind of movie that was like, this is it.

40:25 I like the director, Louis Leterrier. He’s good. He did, um Mm-hmm. Transporter. Uh I think you did the He did the transporter too. The Incredible Hulk, the original one. Clash of the Titans. Now you see me, Brothers Grimsby. Uh he did Fast X. Uh oh, buddy. So, but I like I do like him. I think I think he’s I think he’s a good director. I didn’t see this, but I likely won’t. I probably did give me a buddy. It’s been a while. I gave 1.75. All right, Tim, give us some of yours and then we’ll go back to what we both saw. Then we go back to again what I saw. Save, say, like save, say, half of yours now, and then save another half later on. Uh one I forgot to mention earlier. Uh I saw the Magic Faraway Tree or the far away magic tree. The Andrew Garfield, right? Yeah. Which you said you would never see. Well, never, I have just no, I don’t, I’m, I have no interest. Like, if it comes on here and I got nothing to do, I’ll watch it. But Tim’s response, I was like, I ain’t watching this. I don’t care about this. I don’t care. And Tim’s response, yeah, but it has a bearded spidey. Yeah. Yeah, it was like your spidey smoothie. I like my spidey smooth.

41:45 I uh It was, I mean, for a for like a kids fantasy movie. It was actually pretty good. Like Like Andrew Garfield was was good. In it, th th he he plays the dad and his wife’s clairvoy. And it it it’s it’s it’s like a good a good This is this is the kind of movie I think. Once uh Once it gets onto streaming and people start Watching it, they’ll pick up on it and be like, oh, that was actually a pretty good movie. Can I say this too? I think lately and recently, movies and theaters anymore, like a lot of the shit that we’re seeing. Should be definite streaming movies. Yeah. It’s more nowadays. Like the past couple of years, it’s like this didn’t need to be in theaters. Well, I think what it is is you. You had all those movies that would show up on streaming and then they would disappear and no one would ever talk about them. And it’s it’s this is it’s kind of the same thing with with the whole DVD.

42:48 uh era. Where sometimes the theatrical release is really Just a commercial for The home the home yes, yeah, yeah, true. So, like I’ll tell you right now, this Spider-Man thing is gonna be the biggest fucking thing in streaming ever. when it gets on streaming. Like. All the people that saw it now. Two-thirds of them are going to watch not streaming. And then you’re going to have. 200% of those people are also going to watch it. Yeah. So let’s say let’s say a billion people watched it now. 3 billion people are going to watch it on home streaming at some point. So. Yeah, it so something like this where they put it out. It gets a theatrical release. It gets reviewed. People talk about it. It’s a, it’s a, it’s a good movie in general, I thought. Um let’s see what what did it I’m trying to see what it got rated. It got 6.2 on net on IMDB, which is it. Um is that more the bus boys?

43:49 Yeah, yeah, yeah, it is more than bus boys. But it I mean it’s it’s it’s funny. It’s it’s it’s got it’s got like the it’s got all the like the the tropes of like kids movies of the past where They live in the city and then something happens and they have to leave and they go to the country. And Andrew Garfield decides he wants to become a tomato farmer so he can make pots Make pasta. Make pasta sauce because I make the bed. And he always talks Italian and they go, you’re not Italian, you’ve never even been to Italy. And he goes, but how do I make it a good sauce? Um, yeah, and they and they keep and they go off. And the one girl is angry and she wants to go home. She wants to go back to the city. She doesn’t like to live in the country. It it’s it’s just one of those things um But I mean For a kids movie. There are far worse kids movie out there that far more people have seen. That is true. Uh but I would give this one I would give this one 3.25. I mean, I will I will check it out when it’s when it’s all streaming. I I I will. Just I ain’t gonna mush it to the theater. Yeah, I mean, it it it’s it’s kind of like a Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, the witches.

44:54 Uh the witches, man, that’s that’s a call, it’s kind of like those sort of movies. Uh, and Rebecca Ferguson’s in. I’ve always had a thing for Rebecca Ferguson. I like her too. And she plays like a villain. She plays like a like a evil principal at a school. And uh so she and she’s great now. And she’s got this weird wonky like snaggle tooth. In the movie, that they don’t really explain. I think you said you liked that. Didn’t you like? Kirsten Dunst snaggletooth. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that’s a Tradems or Tims. If you have, you know, boobs, you know, an ass and a nice face. Fine, but if you have that snaggle tooth in there, it’s so well. I mean, for Kirsten Dunst, it makes her stand out. It gives her like a unique In this next movie, she doesn’t

45:55 I don’t think Rebecca Ferguson actually has a snaggle tooth, but in the movie they give her a snaggle tooth. Okay. Yeah, but I mean, yeah, I hope you see it when it comes out. I will in time. I do like him. I do like Andy Garfield and all that. So yeah. And it makes it a good pasta sauce, even though he’s not an Italian. Uh what else did I see? Um Legend of the White Dragon. Which I think we saw this trailer once before we used Yeah, well, uh I mean This is wait a minute, was this like the Power Rangers thing? Yeah, style, yeah, yeah, yeah, well, Jason David Frank, he’s the Green Ranger and And you saw this? I did. I did. He yeah, he he um He wanted to he wanted to make a movie of his own. Now he’s been gone for. Almost four years, I want to say.

46:59 He died like four years ago. Are you serious? Yeah, yeah, he he uh he was wasn’t he the guy always always at the cons? He was always at the cons. He was like a hallway. I know he died. Like, yeah, no, he committed suicide like four years ago. Uh he was at I I mean I was at his last con. His last con was in Indianapolis and I drove up there in the snow. And I remember walking by him and he always would wear these suits. These like nicely tailored suits, and he looked really cool, but he was always like really super fan-friendly. Like, he was a really like interacted with the fans and people loved him. He always had a line. I swear to God. Yeah, he always had a line. Well, the Power Ranger have a huge fan base. Like, I know it’s not something that we’re into, but a lot of people really grew up. Yeah. And the pink. Ranger, that the girl is always doing shows too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So he, yeah, he, he, there was a situation, I guess he was going through a divorce.

48:03 Yeah, and he got an argument with his wife and then The next thing they know, he had went up to A hotel room and I think hung himself. Something to that effect. I may be having that. But it was like really shocking when it happened. Like, cause I, yeah, he was at a, he was at the, he was at the last, I was at his last convention. And I remember, and I do remember saying, wow, look at his. Look, look how many people are in line for him. He looks he looks cool. Right. So this movie was filmed back then? Yeah, it was filmed. It’s made by a guy who made a lot of these old. YouTube Batman movies and like shorts, things like that. So this is his first like. Um, feature film. And it it is it is one of those movies where This should have played on like the sci-fi channel or something like that. Like it’s it’s it’s a it’s a sci-fi movie that Has You know, it doesn’t have the big Hollywood effects that you would expect today. It does look a little. little rinky dink at times. But it but it is like there’s there’s like a certain like earnest

49:08 Yeah uh It the like an earnestness. Like it like they made it out of love, but they but understanding that they don’t have a hundred million dollars to make the movie. So they made it as best as they could with what they had. But it is basically the most generic. Sci-fi. action movie ever made. It’s like Were there people in there too? Was there more than one in there? Yeah, yeah. I would say. When I saw it, there was I saw it in one of the smaller theaters. There was probably 30 people in there. Jesus Christ. Wow. Theater that fit about 70 people, I think. Wow. Um And you could tell they like I saw a lot of them wearing like Power Ranger shirts and stuff like that. Right. So they knew what their fan base, they knew who was going to come. In the movie, he basically plays a Power Ranger. in the movie but he he but it’s it’s like She fought a guy. So it’s it’s like

50:10 Batman vs. Superman. Batman versus Doomsday, Star Trek. Star Wars. It just all all the all the the the tropes. That you see in every movie. Like, if you’re watching this, you could probably put take a notepad and say, That reminds me of this movie. That happened in this movie. That happened in this movie. So it was all, it was like basically like a puzzle of all these different movies all. put together. It was For what it was, you know, you gotta, you gotta give them, you know. applause for finishing the movie and putting it out there. That being said, I give a negative four. It wasn’t very good. I give them, I give them. You know. A for effort. D for delivery. It was, you know, it just wasn’t very good. But. Honestly, if you watch this on the sci-fi channel. You would probably think It was a fun movie to watch, but it’s cheap and stupid. It’s one of those dumb ones that I still had a good time watching. Yeah. But I feel bad saying this because you could tell, like,

51:17 Jason David Frank put a lot of himself into this movie. You know, even though I think he knew it was going to be like kind of a dumb movie too. Right. But Still, it’s still kind of cool. His daughter plays his daughter in the movie. Um It uh I yeah, but he’s been gone for like Three or four years. So yeah, so he filmed it and actually there was a I think it’s on Hulu. There’s like the dark side of shows. And there was one that was like about the Power Rangers. And I remember they do talk about this because they talk about his death and all that on there. But they also said, and he was making, he was making a movie, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And he really wanted people to see it. So I went and saw it. I give it I give it 1.25 Um Okay. Right. Uh and what’s another one that I saw? Tony. Which I do want to see that. That’s that’s one that I’m interested in seeing. Sometime, yeah.

52:18 This, this is a, this was a good movie. Uh, you, I think you would like it. The dude Dominic Sessa from uh Was it the In-Betweener? What was that show that was on? Poji Marty, yeah. Was it The Holdovers? The Holdovers. The Holdovers, yeah. Yeah. Eddie was in the last Now You See Me. Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, he’s he’s good in this movie. Uh Emilia Jones is cute as a button. Antonio is cool. It’s just a nice movie. Um It takes place in the 70s, and it’s, you know, when you watch it, you sort of wish you were in the 70s. Based off of Anthony Bourdain, no, no, he d he died like 10 years ago, something like that. Um but it yeah, it basically talks about his like how he came to start working in kitchens. He wanted to be a writer.

53:20 But he Uh Got a summer job working at this restaurant at the beat. He was trying to impress this girl. That’s why he went to the beach and he got the job there. Okay. And he’s and that’s that’s where he developed his, I guess, his love, his passion for. food and for restaurant lifestyle. Yeah. But yeah, it’s a good movie. I would give this one three and a half. Okay. Yeah, it’s it’s one that I I do want to check out. And do you want me to go do one more? Yeah, yeah, all right. This is probably the worst fucking movie I’ve seen the entire year. had a guess at what it is. Okay. Her Private Hell. Never what’s that? What’s that, Tim? Uh, Sophie Thatcher is in it. She’s the she’s the one from that. What was that movie with the robot girl? That came out last no, no, no, um The where like where like you you could buy a girl and she’s your girlfriend. Isn’t that the one coming out with

54:23 Do, um or tag it, then you or take it? What else was Quades in it. Yeah. Uh You love that. Yeah, what was that one you call it? Companion. Companion. Companion. Okay. Yeah. Okay. This movie, it’s made by a guy, Nicolas Winding Refn. who makes these controversial movies that don’t make any fucking sense. Okay. Uh he did The Neon Demon, Only God Forgives, Drive. Those are those are three Valhalla Rising. Um, those are. Bunch of his movies. They all fucking suck. Drive is the only one that has. Penny. They still haven’t seen it. Ryan Goss is that thing right here. Uh well only God forgives. Only God the first like 10 minutes of only God forgives is cool. Uh, and drive the first 20 minutes of drive is okay. They all these movies start out good and then they get so.

55:28 Wackadoo. that you’re just like, oh, in this movie. How long was this movie? It felt like it was 112 hours. And it was less than two, hour and 50. It was so. I hated it. Fucking zero, zero. I want more. I want my popcorns back. Negative Three popcorns. What made you decide to see this? Yeah, because it’s part of his of his, um Regal unlike. I have right Regal Unlimited. The great thing about Regal Unlimited is I can go and see shitty movies. Yeah. And then it pays for itself. Like, if Tim, what how much is it? If you see three a month, right? It pays for itself. If I if I see two a month, two, it, I, I, I’m. I more than get my money’s worth. Bring even, yeah. So you gotta go see as many as you get as you can. So I ended up seeing like. On an average month, I probably see. 15 plus movies. And I can also go back and see.

56:32 movies multiple times and not, you know, not feel like I’m like wasting my time and money. Um so yeah, I’ll go and see these shitty movies, and that and that’s but that’s the great thing. When you start to see bad movies, you start to appreciate the good ones that much more. That is true. And also, some of these bad movies, you can appreciate them for other things. Like this movie is like a cool movie to look at. Like the lighting and the colors are cool. Sophie Thatcher is attractive, so she’s fun to look at. Right. Watch Yellowjackets. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. So, I mean, it really is. It’s like you go see these movies and you find things about them you like. I mean, as I said. I know I said this is the worst movie I ever saw, but this year. But I mean, there are the parts of it that are kind of neat. Like, as I said, it takes place in this like. Oh not really a post-apocalyptic world, but a an alternate future.

57:34 And it’s almost like they’re the Jetsons. They live above the clouds. They live in those penthouses. Yeah, because she’s she’s part of like the social elite and she lives like way above the clouds. So when she looks out the window, all you see are clouds beneath you, but it’s always night. It’s never day. Okay. So everything is dark. The whole movie is in purples and pinks and blues. And it’s in that respect, it’s interesting. But in every other respect, you know, I just want to shoot myself. Right, right. I just want to drink strychnine. Uh because the movie was so fucking boring other than other than that stuff. So zero popcorns. Damn. Damn. If I had to, for the good stuff, I’ll give it 0.3 popcorns. Tim, this was a sequel to Bus Boys. Would you like it? This would have nothing to do with bus boys. Had bus boys, had they come in and said, where’s my dick money?

58:35 Uh that would have automatically given it one popcorn. Boom. Taking money. Alright, let’s go back to s stuff that we’ve both seen. Ice Cream Man. Ooh yeah. Eli Roth. Yeah. Not a reboot, not a retaliant. Just we saw this with Dave. We saw it. Was this a movie that we saw? Yeah. It wasn’t one of those. It’s not a chunk. Um Was different. It was kind of corny and cheesy. Ice cream man is giving the kids ice cream and it possesses them to. kill adults any way possible. And it was, you know, like this is the movie that could have been on like, like on the sci-fi channel or some kind of service. It didn’t need. be in theaters. I’ll tell you right now, it did need to be in theaters because if it wasn’t in theaters, I would not have seen it. That is true. That is, this is for these movies are for Tim who don’t have. Streaming services. And I know I went and saw this movie, and I know I said I kind of liked it.

59:40 But I honestly don’t, I can’t even talk about it in terms of like trying to critique it because I don’t remember. To be specifics about it. Yeah. Wasn’t it no, at the very end, didn’t Dave was pissed? Wasn’t it? Oh yeah, yeah. They use your word. That part. No, I’m thinking about like was it like a say satanic cult? What was the s the supernatural? Yeah, that’s what pissed them off not as much as your word. That it was like that he wrote this movie and then at the very end, ah, there’s no no explanation. We’ll just, you know, we’ll have this like as a cult kind of thing. Yeah. Yeah. I I prefer the Clint Howard ice cream man to this ice cream man. Yes. But I did, I did think that some of the deaths were funny. I did think like when they swarmed the adults. And we’re killing the adults. I thought that was funny. Like, you saw adults running and these girls and kids running after them. Um And and the fact that some of the kids got killed, like you actually saw kids get killed, which you never see in movies. Never, yeah, yeah, you never see that. Like, like, the part I laughed at was when the daughter comes in and cuts off her mom’s head with a hacksaw, yeah. And then, and then the husband’s like, oh, honey, you like spilled something on me. But it’s her, her.

1:00:57 Her neck blood oozing out. Yeah. I laughed at that. You know what I mean? I mean, and that’s that, this goes back to, it’s kind of like those 80s horror movies where it was, or those, or those 90s straight to video movies like Ice Cream Man and Jack Frost and. Gingerbread, man. Where they’re horror, they’re comedies. I mean, they’re bloody comedies. So I like Eli Roth a lot in his work. The best part of this movie was a fake trailer. Oh my God. Yeah. Don’t don’t what was it? Like the house, bitch. Yeah. Yeah. Because he made a big trailer for Thanksgiving and then sooner or later that came out. As a movie. Yeah. So maybe this will. Happen, yes. Don’t go to house, bitch. And they had Snoop Dogg who were then Doing the voiceover. And that’s what made it kind of funnier. Like, they would see, you know, they walked by the house, it’s all dark, and you know, and the door was inside. Yeah, and the kid walks in and they’re took what it has, bitch. That was the best part. That was the best, the whole best, the whole best part of that movie.

1:02:02 Was the trailer before the movie. Yeah, yeah. Well they was it? They started doing that with uh with the grind house. Yeah. Cause they had Eli Roth do a couple of those. Um and they like some of those some of those turned into like machete was just a fake trailer. Yeah, yeah, and they made the customer. One of them, yeah. One of them? Yeah. He w in and for the Grindhouse, he was in Deathproof. Deathproof, yeah. Which I think is is one of Tarantino’s best movies. Yeah, I prefer that one over Planet Terror. More. Yeah, Planet Planet Terror. Planet Terror was they’re they’re both very different, but yeah, yeah, between the two I prefer. Like I could I could sit down and watch. Probably more often than I can when it’s there. How many scoops of popcorn, Tim? This one, honestly, I would give it 2.75. Wow. Luke. I give it two. See, this is always my first reaction, I guess. And I think having Dave there in my ear too helped me. I gave him half a popcorn.

1:03:10 What? Yeah. I got two words for you. No, no, no. You got it. Dave’s done. No, no, because you listen to Dave. Don’t listen to what Dave says. Dave’s not the boss of you. Yes, he he is in a boss. That the boss is. I work for David. Did you ever get ice cream from my ice cream truck? Buddy is kids. Every time ice cream, man, the whole Andy Murphy skit, whenever we even. You guys were kids. It usually drove behind us and the neighbor behind us. And we always would track it down and buy it. You should yell and hop in the car. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And we all ran there. And you guys. I got something. One of them. Site. And then Tim actually was up here in June, and we went to the like a little shack, a store. And Tim got like what they sell in ice cream trucks, like the stupid pops. He got two of them with two gum ball eyeballs. Yeah, there was some little girl walking by and she saw me eating.

1:04:14 Batman one. Eating the Batman one and She and and and her she went in with her dad and and she came out and because she she was she saw my bat and she she wanted the one that I was eating. And she came out and she showed me your Batman little ice cream thing. I’m like, yeah. And and Sam got two did he get two Batmans? I got a Batman and I got a spon I think a Spongebob. This is SpongeBob. I thought it was TD Bird. It was Tweety Bird. Oh, I did get a Tweety Bird, yeah. I don’t like the gum eyeballs. I never did. Well, the thing with those gum eyeballs is they reduce so much. That it’s, it’s, it’s almost like you’re like. eating like a piece of skin. It gets so small. Penis is so small. It gets so tiny that the gum just disappears. It doesn’t like it doesn’t even really exist. Cause you know why? That ain’t gum. You know what I mean? I don’t know. That probably is some kind of flesh, sunburned skin peeled off someone’s shoulder. Yeah, I’ve I I believe I’ve only gotten actual ice cream cones because

1:05:18 when we and where where we’re from. The ice cream truck would go around, but it was always pre-packaged stuff, like good humor bars. And I was like, Were they nutty buddies? Would that be you can get nutty buddies? You can get. You can get the the um The Italian ice that came in little cups, push-ups, like the Flintstone, Flintstone push-ups. You can get those sort of things, but they didn’t have like soft surf. I know I was in New York City once and they had a Mr. It’s a front tasty freeze or Mr. Tasty. They had one of those trucks on Times Square, and I remember getting. a soft serve cone out of one, which would be kind of like what this This guy was serving. I remember Tim, my old street as a kid, Moore’s Court. I could I could ride the bike down the alley. Down ten and then up whatever the road in front of there is mill. I don’t even know. I could just ride my bike and like I couldn’t cross any streets. Okay.

1:06:19 So I could ride around the block, wee, wee. And one time, my mom gave me one of those. This is fucking horrible. There’s push-up pops and they’re frozen ice. Yeah. And I said, I’m going to go for a bike ride. Yeah. So I like rode around the corner and on 10th Street, I’m like, I’m enjoying this. And the best part is when they is when they melt. Yeah. And you drink what’s what’s left. Some kid Older kids wrote wrote by me and like I don’t know, didn’t hit me, but like scared me or came too close to me. And I spilled it. To this day, I’m still devastated. Dude, when you drive by that spot, you’re like, motherfucker. I figure that because it’s the best part. It’s the corner of the tenth and the road that that’s I don’t know, I I live the road that Friggers are. And there was that’s that Strayer is on? Like down that’s big. Well, I mean old Strayer. That’s technically What is it? No, that’s not Main Street. Is it Main Street? I mean like Tenth and Park.

1:07:24 Well, no, it’s the other end, Tim. It’s not Tenth and Park. It’s the other way. It’s the other. It’s like, if don’t make it left and hit Park Avenue, make it right and hit that main drag that goes. Oh, Juniper? No. You’re going too too far. Yeah. I’m sorry. I was devastated. And I always think of that. Like, I had it. I might have even saved it. It was a hot day. And I was like, I want to make this whole fucking thing’s melted and juice. Oh, are you talking about like the things that come in like triangles? No, like the long plastic strips. Okay. Oh, like the like the oh, I know what you mean. Yeah, you’re you’re like the popsicles that come with a little plastic. Yeah, it looks and you and you push it and you bite it and you push it up. I’ve saved the whole thing, I think. So it’s all just this liquid juice. Did you feel like? No, but somebody hit me or tapped me or scared me and I and I and I went limp and then it just poured right out on the fucking on the side. Yeah, the juice the juice is the juice is where it’s at with those things. You like how the juice? The juice is good. Yeah.

1:08:34 I don’t even know what we what we were talking about. Ice cream man. We just finished ice cream man yet. Ice cream man. All right. Um that’s a little little sim Backstory. The next one we all have seen, which I don’t know how Tim, I forget what Tim said about this. End of Oak Street. Um yeah. Oh, okay. No, I I was Looking forward to seeing this, and I was surprised and entertained, yeah, and I really. I guess it was it was comical at times, but it had some Great moments with dinosaurs, and it was just like what would happen if this would happen. And then it explained it of like a time warp bubble. Portal, whatever took and took that Town out and I really enjoyed this and had some shocking moments. And this. Yeah. Okay. Same? I am just now realizing that Maisie Stella played the daughter.

1:09:36 And I met her when she was real young, like eight. Well, she used to she was well, she used to be on the Nashville show. Oh, okay. And she so she was on Nashville and She and her sister, her older sister, Lennon Stella. were played Connie Britton’s daughters on that. And so where I worked, we had a partnership with that show. And so a lot of the people who were on that show. Yeah. Do meet and greets and stuff. So I would handled a bunch of those meet and greets, and I know I handled at least two. With her. I didn’t realize that that was her. In this movie, also, she’s like what 18 now or something, right? Right, right, right. I don’t know, and she probably doesn’t look No, she’s 20. She is 23. Well Anyway, um. But all right. Remember seeing the first trailer thinking, okay, what’s this all about? Yeah, and then I remember.

1:10:42 Thinking to myself, ow, this movie’s probably gonna fucking suck. And I went and saw I wasn’t super excited to see it. When I saw the trailer where, oh, it’s dinosaurs. When I saw the dream, I’m like, okay, well, I’ll go see it. You know, I mean, I was going to see it regardless. I mean hell, I went and saw I was gonna say you’ve you’ve seen it, like where it’s Fucking Super Troopers 3. Yeah. So I went and saw it. And I and I did. I really enjoyed it. That the end was like they couldn’t figure out how to end it. So they just rushed it. They kind of rush in and make things like really, really convenient. Uh everything was like wh there right where they they yeah, everything was like oh oh oh oh. And you know, for something that’s supposed to be taking place in like nineteen eighty. And the the this is this is my big beef and I think I talked talked with you about this. In the movie. Ewan McGregor is a dad who has lost his job.

1:11:47 Yeah, it’s a big point of contention with him and Anne Hathaway. Um So he, the job that he has is a pizza delivery guy. So they’re there, they’re in their town. HM They somehow make it to where they need to be. To uh to get a hold of their dad so they can save him’cause he In the movie, he dies. Shocking death shockingly when when Anne Hathaway is on the deck and she he comes over and whatever Baseball bats, the dinosaur leg. And then the dinosaur turned over. And I’m thinking. He’s not, he can’t survive that. But I think I said he can survive getting. Picked up by the leg, thrown around. And then, you know, get up and walk away. And that didn’t happen. No, he did not get up. He did not walk away. No. No, it was, it was, I mean, it really was. That was like the moment in the movie. I was like, I was like, oh my God. Like, that was, that was like my chest exploded because I was like, oh my God. And it didn’t seem like you, at that time, you think.

1:12:59 Holy shit, he’s dead. Not thinking the whole back to the future time warp thing, back in time kind of kind of moment. Well, they yeah, they they they They’re what what happens is they’re entire neighborhood gets pulled into a time warp. The past, I guess. Prehistoric, yeah, I guess. And they somehow find a little tiny warp that brings them back to. The future but Conveniently brings them back to the future like a half an hour before they left. So it was like that to me didn’t make sense. And then they get up. Do you know how time bubbles work? I don’t. I clearly don’t. Then they get up to the top of the hill. And they’re like, hey, we can say dad, dad’s at work. And he’s delivering pizzas. And miraculously, there is a bus station with a gigantic digital clock on it in the middle of suburbia. There’s this is like a town that nobody lives in. And there’s a bus, like, why do they even have a bus line here? And at the bus line, there’s a payphone. So all these things that are just so convenient.

1:14:02 And then they call and order a pizza. Here here he goes. He knows. Pizza Battle. I have delivered, I have delivered pizza. They have like, in the, in the movie, they have like 15 minutes. So they have to call, order the pizza. And he has to get there with the pizza delivery in 15 minutes. That is not fucking reality. Hey, okay, I don’t know where the pizza shop is in relation to where they’re at, but. It didn’t look like there was a pizza shop down the street. You got a call. Someone has to, and this is back in the 80s, so someone has to write down ah, pepperoni or something. Someone has to make that pizza making the pizza over the toe. Pepperoni on it, all that. Oh, oh, oh. Then they gotta put the pizza in the oven. And as you know, then you sing the Jeopardy theme 10 times. You gotta take the pizza out, put it in the box. Hopefully. Ewan McGregor’s right there to take the pizza directly. Like he’s not out on a delivery to the Swanson’s house and comes back. So he has to go back, get the pizza, then buh buh buh bubba bubba in his little Jetson car. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me.

1:15:02 the hill. Find them. And all within like 15, 20 minutes. Impossible. Tim is the only person I think who’s seen this movie. who thought about the pizza process. I should I should go on all the like Pizza Delivery Men United and see what they think of this movie. But in the 80s, if you got it in the third amount of time, is it free? Back in the day, Domino’s did that. But I think someone died. I think I did it. There was Domino’s had a 30 minutes or less. And what happened was. Uh a driver was speeding to get to where to get to the delivery. And Got into an accident, and I think someone died as a result of that. So they did. I remember when that happened while we were working at. The theater because they stopped it. That was like a big thing. And I remember one of the dudes because we worked next to a Domino’s pizza, there was a domino’s right next to the pizza, buddy. Yeah, they used to go over there and trade pizza. We trade them a lot of tickets to make a pizza. Like, we probably gave them the equivalent of like$40 to make an$8 pizza. Yeah, like we just threw whatever we want to.

1:16:13 Corner. And they would let us go behind the counter and make our own pizza. We made our own pizza and shit. Yeah. Yeah. I remember that guy coming back after they took away the 30 minutes or less, and he was just like taking his time. He’s like, I don’t need to run. Think about that, no need to run anymore. There there was we used to I used to not make I used to always like tease one of the one of the drivers there. Um he used to like you could park they could park in front of the fucking Dominoes run in there, get their orders, and he was like funny in the flash. He was the flash. There was one time I remember, this is this, it’s cruel. He he parked there, car running. He ran in to see this detective. That’s right, you stole his car, didn’t you? I had this car and I drove it to the end of the parking lot. Other side of the parking lot. He came out and it was gone and he looked around and he was like so pissed. And I said, Is that your car over there? Yeah, and he was screaming a certain way that.

1:17:18 That was just how he did it. And he ran. Yeah, I used to tease those guys a lot. You know what? You know what would have been really, really cruel? And I’m glad we never. Did this and I didn’t think about it till now, like 30 some odd years later. Yeah. At one night, we took butter flavoring and doused it all over the front on the grass and where they would run in and out of. Yeah. Because you know, Rich would go, oh, and the pizza would fly up in the air probably and land. That would have been fun. But we went to RetroCon. There’s a, there’s a, A wrestler character named Sergeant Slaughter. Sergeant Slaughter looks yeah. And one time we went there with mom and it was him. It was this guy new dressed as Sergeant Slaughter walking around. Oh, yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Well, they both have kind of a hair lip kind of thing. Go one, or that, or that. Wait, like almost like a cleft palette kind of thing. I’m not really sure. This is another side story. I thought it was you, Tim, but it’s not. Didn’t him and the podcaster Steve, who’s been on this Neil’s ass, didn’t they drive together to a place? He went.

1:18:30 He offered Steve Yeah yeah. a ride to Disney. So yeah, yeah, so Steve and and and so all Steve had to do was pitch in for gas. And I guess part of the hotel. So for Steve. It was a really inexpensive way to go to Disney back in The 90s, the like 98, 97, 98, 99. I forget when it was. So Steve like went Went down there for like super cheap because. He rode along with Rich. Rich’s sister and Rich’s sister’s boyfriend. That’s the first time. Yeah. Four of them. Collectively covered the cost of gas and a hotel room. And Steve didn’t hang out with them outside of the ride. Down and back in the hotel and sleeping. Steve was basically on his own. So he he He took it as an opportunity to get down there and have a cheap place to stay, even if he wasn’t too fond of the people that he was with. Right. It was Steve doesn’t, he never complained about it. He never said that it was like a bad time. He always, Steve always kind of.

1:19:41 sort of acknowledged that it was strange, but he never. He never said that it was like Like a horror show or anything like that. And that’s the and good for Steve. Like, like going to the mall, like a local hour drive, half an hour drive away. Okay. But to drive down to Florida with Like that’s that’s falsy. That’s that that takes really like That’s what you don’t know. Yeah, you’re not social. Rich. You know, we make fun of him because he was unique. He was unique. He’s a lot. At least the last I heard he was Tolman. He is he is a unique. One of a kind of gentleman. Yeah. But he was a nice guy. He never did anything mean. He was, I never heard him say a bad thing about anybody. He was a He was a oh, he was a righteous dude. Like he was, he, he was, he was not, he was, he wasn’t an asshole. He was nice. I mean, if we’re being honest, we were the one who. I was the asshole. Yeah, we were the assholes. He was a nice guy, but we always picked on him. But in a way, he.

1:20:52 He kind of like he, if we didn’t pick on him, he would be upset. Like, you know, why aren’t you picking on me? He just knew that that’s what we did. Yeah, he pushes bones. Rich Rich Ferguson. Wherever you may be. Um we did say this. We did say this, or I, you and I talked about this. Part of the reason why this movie worked. It worked as well as it did. Was you had Ewan and Anne Hathaway two great actors? Yes. Do it. I mean, taking what is a ridiculous premise. And making something of it. And the two of them. Are they so good at what they do that they were able to elevate the quality of this movie, which easily should have been like a sharknado kind of thing. Absolutely. And and when Ewan McGregor is just he’s an actor. Even Dave said they Can’t look away. What he’s doing, it’s pure shit. You just he’s so good at it because of who he is.

1:21:55 It was very, yeah, yeah. Even in the even in the trailer when he does that thing, like aliens. Yeah. Yeah, like like I like that. Like I just I just like him in the movie and she’s and she’s really very good too. Well to give it that was funny too at the end, which says That if a dinosaur? Yeah, at the very end, there’s like no F-bombs in the whole fucking movie. And then at the very end, where he sees like the whole town in a bubble, and he sees dinosaurs, and he’s like, Is that a fucking dinosaur? That was hysterical. Yeah. Not knowing that, yeah, you were just eaten by one. Half an hour ago, you know? I would give this movie… 3.9. Oh Luce? Was that where you get it? I’m not saying anything. You? Say, I gave it a four. Four. So that’s the closest we’ve been to so far of all these movies that we all like agree. 3.9. You know, just.

1:23:00 Round it up to four of the movies that we talked about on this show. This is the one that surprised me the most because I really was went in there. Expecting to be underwhelmed. Right. And it did not, it did not underwhelm me. If I was to see it a second time, I might feel differently, but. That with this, that first viewing and just with the shock, I’m sorry for those of you who are listening to us that didn’t know that Ewan McGregor dies in this movie. Well, he he he does, but then he doesn’t. Yeah, he does it, he does it. He doesn’t but I mean, there are those moments that are shocking, and then there’s the moments at the end where you’re like, what the fuck? So it gets a rise out of you for different reasons. Oh. We didn’t even mention what? The the the pornography in this movie. Oh yeah, you do get to see some uh Bronto on Bronto sex. Yeah, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, on top of a house. So if you want to see, you know, two Bronze Horsees getting it on.

1:24:05 Luke was like clutching his shirt, you know, trying to keep his heartbeat down. He was so excited. Oh. He’s like, he’s like, this is what we’re missing at Jurassic Park. the last whatever the last Jurassic pork we need Jurassic pork you know yeah Jurassic pork Alright. Um Let’s talk about two movies that are classics, which we came back at in theaters, Point Break and The Fast and the Furious. For their anniversary, what’s Point Break’s? 35th or 35th? Point Break is 35 this year. 35. And what was The Fast and the Furious? 20. The Fast and the Furious is 25. 25. 25, yeah. And I don’t care. I mean, yes, I love Point Break. It’s one of my all-time favorite 90s films. The Fast and the Furious is like your franchise that started all. Even you were laughing at Vin Diesel’s actor. But fuck, I don’t care what anyone has to say. I want to hear Tim’s story of seeing The Fast and the Furious and how. He saw it. Oh yeah, I I saw it what what last week.

1:25:09 And I actually didn’t realize I was buying a ticket. So you didn’t know? You just went to see Fast and the Furious. Yeah, because it was playing at a certain time and I I I think I had something to do that night. I’m not sure. Why why? But so I went to see it and it was at it was at a different regal. It’s not the one right around the corner from me. It was the one I had to drive a little bit to. But they have a 4DX, which is the basically the movie ride. Basically, these seats were made for this movie. Yeah. And all you know? And I have never seen. The first fast, the fast and the furious. I’ve never seen him ever seen the original. This came out when I lived in Washington, D.C. And I just never got out to see it. I remember seeing trailers for it. Uh every time I go to the theater because it was a it was a big summer movie. I it may have come out when I was this two two thousand one?

1:26:14 It may have come out, I remember spending like Four to six weeks in Houston, Texas. Oh, for a flood that I was working with. the time. So I don’t recall. I actually don’t recall going to a movie once. during that time frame. I might have saw Tomb Raider. But I did not see this. Of course, you did, yeah. Yeah. But I did not see this. So I never saw it. I did see part two when that came out a few years later. I remember watching that with Dave. Uh but So I’d never seen it. And I’m not a car person. I’m like, when I watch these sort of things and I see this like, Car racing culture. And I know that it exists, but did it exist like that then? Was it like that then? Or is it like what it is now because of these movies? Like, which came first? The chicken of the heat. Yeah, the chicken of the heat, right. So I don’t know. I don’t know. But I saw it in 4DX and

1:27:16 I’ll tell you. 4DX is the way to see this fucking movie. I believe. Uh it it it it Tosses you around. The smoke, they do smoke at the front of the screen. So when they take it. Do they have like a burnt tire smell? At all? No, no, no. They they they do have like smell of vision. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There, but it’s they don’t choose the smell. It has one smell. It smells like. floral, but I didn’t I don’t recall ever smelling anything. They might have done away with the smell of vision. At these things. And there was no water. It sometimes sports water on it. Yeah, yeah, they. Right, yeah. But yeah, it had smokes. It had the, like if they’re being chased by cops, there’s flashing lights in the theater. Seriously. Yeah. And and the seats move. And When and when and like when you’re sitting there and they and they’re they’re in the car and it’s like idling your seat’s rumbling that is amazing. Yeah, you would love that luke. It was we did we we saw a 40

1:28:19 One of the Star Wars Horse Wagon. You have to go through. We have to go down to King of Prussia, right? King of Prussia is the only one here. Plus, Janet won. Yeah, there is Maverick there, too. No, I don’t think the one in Warrington has a 4DX. Do they? I don’t think we were doing it. The one in Warrington is like a. That’s like a 4DX. That’s like a flagship. That’s a huge, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But no, that was really the way to see it. Um there’s the seats like when they’re jumping. Or or whatever, do they tilt back so it makes you look like you’re The seats the seats like they can move back and forward and left and right. And there are different things like when it when it’s there’s like a pan, like like kind of like a crane shot going down or up, the seat will move. So you like, like you won’t, unless you’re really paying attention, you don’t really realize your seat’s moving because the screen is moving at the same time. So you’re just sort of.

1:29:21 You’re in it. I wonder how that works. I wonder how they They program it to do that. Like during every scene, it must be already in the system. They just boink hits. They probably, there’s probably someone they say, okay, we’re going to have. This movie. You know, coming out in 4DX, they probably send it somewhere to be programmed. So, okay, there’s a 4DX guy that says, okay, when it does this, we go forward. When it does this, we squirt. When we hit this, it’s a minimal position. So yeah, and when we’re doing here, we just have the seats rumble. Um yeah, I mean, it really is cool. I I I think the last time I went to a 4DX. Maverick was in 4DX I think. The time the time for you people, right, yeah. I didn’t see that in 4DX. The last one I think I saw was. Kong. Godzilla vs. Kong. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that one, I was like a fucking wet rag. In that movie because I was I was so

1:30:23 Shaken about I wanted to start crying. I was in pain. I was in pain. And like I remember, I remember watching that the Kong movie thinking. Much longer. And it’s in four seats. And I think there’s a way you can turn it off. Bye. I was in, there were four seats. I was at the end, and there were two people on the other end of my same little row. So I couldn’t turn it off where I’d be like, fuck you guys. I don’t feel good. Like, Uh, but so I was just kind of like this movie gonna be hard! I don’t like this. Are you actually crying? No, no, no, not really. But I I know I know Chris had it had a, not, not, not in a movie theater, but I know Chris had it had a. Instance where he felt like crying. It was when you were coming back from uh Was it Chicago?

1:31:25 And you’re wearing when you’re wearing Chris’s Yankees jacket, and you were so hot on the plane. He forgot it because we all went to celebration and he forgot it and he left before us. And he goes, can you, can you bring my jacket? Because he lived in the area too. It was an expensive T jacket. Like that, those are like$300 jackets. Yeah, it was like an actual. And I don’t know. I’ll be honest. I’ll be honest. I don’t know why I wore it. on the plane. I don’t know. I could have pa I don’t think I could it could fit in my suitcase. I don’t know. And I wore that the entire flight from Chicago to to Pennsylvania. How do you take it off? Cause you’re sort of stuck on the seat. Yeah, as I sit down, I’m stuck. I can’t get out. But if you were, if you were driven, if you have a window seat, if you had a window seat, if you’re in the middle, you have to get up. It’s a whole thing. I had I had Do you know when you sweat so much and you just feel it going down your back to your crack of your ass? That’s how it was. You were like super uncomfortable, like two and a half, three hours. Yeah, it was the worst. I was like, it was, I was like, that’s him work.

1:32:34 I wasn’t gone. Yeah. No, I were all doing our own. You guys all left before me. I was, I was, I stayed back to sight. I remember like, I was still laying in bed. See you later, man. Yeah, then uh wearing a jacket. Then like an hour or so later I I I checked out and then I went to The art museum with like Ferris Mueller. But yeah, I know you were on that plane. So hot, so uncomfortable that even though you weren’t crying. I was crying. I was deeply inside. I was crying inside, yeah. It’s a similar luke, this will happen to you eventually one time where you’re going to be so uncomfortable. That you, you’re not going to cry, but you want to cry. But you want to cry. You just want to just release every. Yeah, you just. Want the world to know how uncomfortable you are. It will happen. For Chris, it was on the plane. For me, it was Godzilla versus Kong. Dave said that he saw something too. He goes, don’t ever buy like a popcorn and drink. Because whenever, as you sit down, it just starts moving and you’re spilling your drink everywhere. The popcorn’s flying everywhere. It’s like, it’s not worth it. You can’t, you really can’t have a drink because there are two around. Is there a cup holders? There are cup holders.

1:33:54 But you but when it shakes, like let’s say you just sat down and you have a full large soda. Right. That lid is gonna pop the fuck off. Oh, yeah. And and and yeah, well then you’re gonna cry because you spent$25 for a fucking for soup and popcorn. Yeah. And plus the 25 to get in. And and you don’t get to drink any of it. And you’re going to leave all wet. And it’s not because you’re excited, it’s because it’s full of fucking tap. And everybody’s like, pissed your pants. It’s okay. I have to pee my pants. Yeah. So yeah, that was uh that was my fast and furious. Um Hi, I mean. Those movies I’ve never been gigantic fans of. This one was way more serious than anything else was. Way more, I’ll say realistic, even though it’s not. Right, right. But way more grounded than they have become. Cause they wanted there’s.

1:34:56 Those V players. DVD, those VCR TV combos. The technology is funny. Yeah. Because, yeah, like someone. They’re stealing an entire shipment of, well, it starts out, it’s VHS TV combo sets. Yeah. Which is like, but back in the day, like 20 years old. That was gold. Now you wanted one of those DVD, the DVDs were just coming out. So you’re like, oh, well, that’s the future. So I guess when they did that, it’s like, well, these will, this will still look current in five years and probably did. But when they, when they showed, like, they were on the computer, like showing all the technology, it was all like. Fucking like Netscape Navigator, you know, 2000 internet stuff. And it was, it was kind of funny to, to see how. How 25 years to progress where they’re up in up in space in a car. Yeah. Yeah. Saving the world now. Saving the world now from terrorism and whatnots. Yeah.

1:35:57 Yeah. But all that that point break is, yeah, hello. Faster as it is, is is point break. Both cars. Yeah. You know what I mean? It’s the same movie, just different stuff. I love them both. And point break, I mean, I had seen point break several times. When I was younger, I always had a crush on Lori Petty. She. Gorgeous and it’s been forever since what 9091? What’s that? She looks like Ellen DeGeneres. Some she looks like Ellen DeGeneres in that, like sometimes. And I don’t know what this says about me, but I love Lori Petty, those blue eyes on that big screen. Yeah. It was just captivating. I mean, she looks nothing, you know, like that now. She’s, I mean, she’s she’s she’s aged into a mature woman. Uh but yeah, which like 10 girls point break. He was she was hot bag like, you know, not not Her looks, but like she was like in a lot of the big movies in the 90s and shit. Yeah. Yeah. She was like the it girl for about five years. Yes. Yeah. And then they moved on to someone else. Yeah. It was a what have we had? In the army now, which I loved her in Tank Girl.

1:37:10 Uh free willy, poetic justice, league of their own, point break, catalog man. Uh so she she had a run from 90 to A good five-year run. And then she was live wire on the Batman Animator series, The Voice. Was she really on Superman and Batman? Yeah, she played Livewire. And she’s she’s not a great voice. She’s got a great cartoon voice. I don’t know why she doesn’t do more animated. Yeah. Tell Tim we’ve been making making fun of that guy at at the ending. See, Luke’s Luke Luke is is is is a person when you hear something, it’s for the next like three weeks, it’s it’s that same joke. All right. It’s it’s funny once. At the end of point break, Tim, when You know, when s uh piano goes Johnny Utah goes to rest Bodie in Australia. Oh, he’s down there. Yeah, yeah. All right. And, you know, I’m not going to paddle to New Zealand, whatever he says.

1:38:11 And then he lets them go and all the cops come. And there’s this one cap. Who just screams, don’t worry, we’ll get him when he comes back in. Just how he says it. And now Luke laughs. Every time I do that impression, every watch that look clip on YouTube and and then Johnny Utah says, you know, he ain’t coming back. It’s just, it’s, it’s Luke just is now laughing at that moment for next three weeks. It’s in his head. We’re getting when he comes back in. I don’t know why. Yeah. And that, those are one of those things where, like, they have to kind of put that in there just so. I still think he could have survived it. You see him bouncing. But he said, no one has survived it. Yeah, but Bodie is the best. Swayze is out there surfing right now. Somewhere else. They did that. I’ll tell you why they did that. They did that in the hopes of making a sequel. A sequel. Yeah. Don’t kill. Don’t kill the star. N The point break remake, reboot, whatever. You know what? I didn’t hate it. I hated it. I loathed it. I despised it.

1:39:22 When did I work? 2015. I didn’t, I didn’t hate that one. I only saw it once, so I, it’s been a really long time. Wow. Where did these guys all go? Edgar Ramirez, Bodie. Bracey, he’s disappeared. Ray Woodstone dead. Uh, Teresa Palmer, um, she’s kind of disappeared, you don’t see her anymore. She was she was kind of like uh um Lori Petty and where she was pop she was popular for about five years and then she disappears. Uh, Max Thera, yeah, oh, James LeGros. He, yeah, he was. He he was uh he came back for this one. Yeah. Who direct who directed this one? Well, we’re gonna give point break. I get point, I mean, I didn’t even rate them. Point break for me. It’s like a, it’s like one of my, I think four points out of five. It’s like one of my, one of my all-time favorite. Johnny, you know. Utah. Him too. Gary Busey. It’s just a great, stupid action film. He was still creepy back then. He was creepy back then, yes.

1:40:32 I might have missed I might have missed something in. Uh fast and furious. I’m sorry to go back. Point break, point break is like 3.5. It’s a fun movie. It is good. Super fun. And also that song at the end by Rat. Yeah, I love that song. That was like one of the last hurrahs of the of the hairband era. Um But uh Mm-mm. I missed something. Maybe maybe I got up to use the bathroom or something. Why why is the The police station in like a house. Oh, The Fast and the Furious? I think that’s just that’s undercover. Yeah. Those are the undercover. It’s like a house that they don’t want. It’s like a house where you wouldn’t resp uh not um you wouldn’t suspect it to be a police station. It wasn’t, it was just like a hideout house or whatever. Yeah, yeah, like like I was like, why are they gonna have like like why is he getting into a fight in the kitchen? It’s it’s like and what’s funny is that when I see the

1:41:39 Um Put the Lucian in the basket. That guy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it’s words. It’s everyone’s like seeing him. She’s not a great big fat woman. Yeah, she’d be my fat person. We knew that. That’s a furious parody. Super fast. Yeah, we watched that we watched that. It was like some on some streaming service is coming. They would be like, all right, we’ll check it out. Alright let’s where would you get fanned furious? The Fast and the Furious is is It it was the original and I love Paul Walker. Yeah, I really do. I will give that link, link. Maybe like Four and a half. Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? It’s not a perfect film. But still really entertaining. And Michre Michelle? Rodriguez, when they introduce her on screen, she gets out and she does that. Why? She is just a badass. She’s hot as hell and she’s a badass. Yeah. And uh Who was the other girl? Jordana Brewster. Jordana Brewster.

1:42:40 I can like Like she was, she was just like perfectly. Beautiful blue eyes, and she was tan. Yeah. I want to know this also. Yeah. But, but yeah, she was, she was just like dropped dead gorgeous. Still is. I mean, she’s dropped dead gorgeous. Yeah. Want to know, okay, so they had uh They’re their their restaurant slash market. Yeah, you only see it the one time. It’s like, and then the rest of the movie, they’re not there. Who’s running the shop? Like it’s supposed to be like teenagers. Teenagers. Like Toretto. Yeah, like that’s that’s that’s his office. He just sits there. Was that like a yeah, was that like a Like um an auto mech auto mechanic shop and a coffee shop? I don’t know, I thought I thought it was a no. Wasn’t the like left side like a garage where they were I thought his garage was like behind the house that we saw, but Luke didn’t see the actual house. That’s right.

1:43:43 We won’t buy and and and and Luz could be jealous. But yeah, Toretto’s the coffee shop. Yeah, you never, that never returns. It’s like, did it go out of business? Do they You know, what happened? What happened? They they were too busy saving the world. They were up in space. I mean, I can see, I can see how well they, like, they knew that. Uh Dominic was guilty and they went and they raided the place and shut it down. So maybe that’s what happened. What would you give it to him? Um I didn’t I I mean I don’t I don’t love those movies like you guys do. Uh I did enjoy it. I’m gonna give it I would give it like three points. Two five. Yeah, I mean, I did enjoy it. I mean, I can see why people love the movie and the ridiculousness of them as they as they get progressively crazier and crazier and crazier. I can I can see them. I can see why people like keep going back. Well, let’s continue. Let’s continue. Luke and I will say we we saw. You finish what you saw. Then we’ll finish what we’ve both seen. Okay. How does that sound?

1:44:55 Well yeah, we’ll we’ll do ours first. Meaningly, yeah, you’ll you you you. We’ll c continue with the old movies Luke and I Saw T2. Was anniversary Judgment Day in 3D. We saw it on Judgment Day. Yeah, oh, yeah, we did. We saw Judgment Day on Judgment Day, August 29th. 29th. 29th. Yeah. Oh. Which was cool. They had an opening interview with James Cameron, Robert Patrick and Edward Furlong. Yeah. Um just you know Edward Furlong couldn’t fit on the screen with the rest of them. He was enormous and he was like in a diner or or something. You know, he he said he was to come back. He wanted to come back. He thanked James Cameron because James Cameron’s making the next Terminator. Yeah. Whatever. Uh you’ve heard me say this and I’ll say it again. They just have to fucking give it up. Dying now. And stop it. There’s a thing called a dead horse, and they are beating it. I will watch this dead horse. You will go see it. I’ll go see it. I’ll go I’ll go see that dead horse and I’ll and I will pet it um

1:46:00 Seeing this, this I remember worked in Tim and I, we were back in the day, worked at the theater, had a midnight showing. broke the cops came in the back door thought we broke into Fucking watch a movie or something. Was this uh Terminator? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that was that was before I worked there. Oh, for real? Yeah, I was not there. I didn’t. That was I did see that it at that theater, but that was Two years before I started working there. It was and is still one of my favorite Arnold films ever. It’s the best, it’s one of the best sequels to anything. It’s just really soundtracks great. Soundtrack’s great. Arnold’s great. Linda Hamilton’s great. You could be mine. Yeah, I mean, it’s just a great movie. I love the whole shotgun thing. It’s a movie that I will watch any day. It’s fantastic. We saw it in. Which is actually kind of, it was nice. Like everything was like popping out at you and shit, and all it was good. When I When I think of that summer. that T2 came out.

1:47:02 Yeah. I think of Yeah. That’s, I think of three things. Terminator 2, it was all over the place. You could, the TV, everything was Terminator 2. That Guns N’ Roses song, You Could Be Mine, was all over MTV. You could that mean it was in heavy rotation that entire summer. And the extreme song. Um More than words. More than words. More than words and wholehearted. We’re all over the radio. At that time. And so I think of Extreme Terminator 2 and The Guns N’ Roses. So that was the summer of 91 for me. It was 91 was the year I graduated. So this is like a major. milestone in in in my life and all T2 is just, I met, I have on my poster what I got, buddy. I have the T1000. Sarah Connor, who mom thinks was her twin sister. Yeah, mom thinks it’s her twin sister. No, it was, it was, it was the actual Linda Hamilton, all right?

1:48:09 Oh, you think you think she had Kelly thinks that that Linda Hamilton didn’t want to go to the chore, so she sent her twin sister. No, that’s not how it works. Have you compared autographs? No,’cause I don’t know if her sister, who I think passed away. signs autographs or or sign that I mean I would but if you if you compare But the Hamiltons autographed your autograph. I didn’t look into that. But no, Linda Hamilton was cute back in the day. She’s a badass. And she was getting, she was. I didn’t, when I was younger. I did not find her attractive at all. As I’ve gotten older. And I see her back in in In those days. And I’m way older than she was then. I’m way older now than she was then. I can see it. I’m like, ooh, yeah. I mean, she, cause she is like a hot badass. Yeah. I got who I got uh T1000, John Connor, Sarah Connor. I got Miles Dyson’s son.

1:49:11 Yeah. Um And I got another person. Not in not on T2. You got him on your. But there is a scene. I think there is a T2 version out there, uncut footage. And a special edition. Yeah, of him in it. Yeah. That was, she was having a dream. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But um Art. T2s. Oh, eh. All the runtime this is funny. Luke last remember when the T1000 finally comes to the nut house and he walks through the bars, the bars, yeah. Okay. And he’s shooting at at Arnold and Arnold using his body as a shield to protect John Connor, his soul connor, he’s he’s running with his arms up in the air. kind of it looks really bad. Any list. You laugh too. It is funny. All right, buddy. Let’s bang up. And then you hate when he says, I need a vacation. I hate that. And then you always say, because in the movie, he’s telling you, now I know why you cry. He’s becoming learning the human traits. But you don’t know what a fucking vacation is, first of all. It’s that program to your system.

1:50:26 What’s wrong with the buffy? What would you give it? Yeah. Oh, T25. Hell fucking here. Yeah, that’s a that’s a The easiest five in the history of fives. Yeah. That’s the best five of fives. What did we s all right, buddy? It ends. We went to my first. What is my first? Our first? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Our first scream unseen. Wh we thought it was gonna be buddy. Turn out to be it ends. Dave said, was it a letterbox movie? Was it Letterbox? Like, Didn’t they say they letterbox was making their own movies and they put this out there in theaters? And it’s Bad, it’s boring, the it’s about a road that never ends. And four people just have to just You know, drive, drive, drive, drive, drive. If you stop. People from the woods come out and start chasing, and they gotta keep driving, and then you drive and you drive and drive. And after a while, you go nuts, you go crazy. It’s just it’s it’s it’s not that good. I was glad when it when it ended. I did yeah.

1:51:29 I’m glad when it ends. Yeah, it did. It it’s it is currently playing in theaters, but I was like, I don’t really Want to see it. When I see it, and you see these kids, when I’m Look on the regal thing, and it shows like a little screenshot of the movie. And it says, It ends, it makes you think for a split second that it is a sequel to. It Because you see, yeah, well, at least that’s what I think. Like, I think, wait, is this a sequel to it? I know it’s not now, but Ted, are you smoking drugs? Well no, but we got T or Tours for Tim. You’re stupid. You’re stupid. Yes. Yes. We also saw Insidious, was that what’s the full title? I have no idea. Oh, into what’s into the further? Into the further. What do we say this is? Out of the further.

1:52:33 Well, no, because in the thing, there’s another. It’s out of the front. Yeah, insidious out of the further. Out of the further. It’s just a continuation the sixth one sixth one I mean it’s the same thing and it’s some jump scares here and there. Some what’s going on moments. I’m not watching. I haven’t seen any of these. I’m not starting any now. Oh, for the part in the movie. That means you crack the fan. Yeah, there’s there’s there’s dead people and then they’re married in real life and they die and And she points somewhere and he’s not pointing and then she like bumps him like, point you know, it’s just like a old husband and wife thing. Yeah. It’s just it was okay. I didn’t Hated it. I didn’t love it. If there’s Insidious 7, I’ll watch that. I only gave it two popcorns. Luke, what’d you give it? Two. Two. Frozen off.

1:53:35 Why? ‘Cause it was the same guy in the same kind of horror. I was like, is this insidious? Is this conjuring? What’s going on? Patrick Mark. Yeah, these these two are like the same to me. Yeah. It’s a insidious conjuring paranormal activity. The same three fucking movies. Alright, what’s this title? Camp Miasma. What’s this one called? Seth with teenage sex. I don’t know. Teenage sex and death. And uh at Camp Miasma. For the record, it has a 7.2 out of 10 IMDB rating. It’s very different. It is a different movie. Lesbian, I mean lesbians. You guys are cool. Skully’s in it. Skull. Kevin McDonald is in it. That is so funny. From the kids in the hall. That’s I just saw his name there. It’s a different movie. It’s like it’s like Scully was a Horror actress back in the day. And they’re trying to revamp her franchise and they she goes to the

1:54:41 The writer goes t to where she’s lives and they start talking. Shit’s happening here and there. And then they fall in love and then they make out and Yeah, she did it for like a little back chair. There’s a lot of comedians in this. It is like a funny Horror dark Comedy thing. It does say dark comedy. It listens. Dark comedy. Psych psychological drama, romantic epic, and slasher horror. Uh, is how it’s how it’s uh it wasn’t for me, I didn’t really. catch it and jump on board with it. But I wanted to see it. I mean, I want to see the same thing so bad because our theater. didn’t have it the first week. Then I saw the nighttime shows the second week. I was like, oh, they got it. So we went, I’m like, oh. I thought it was going to be better. Maybe I think I had high hopes. It Uh yeah, it was only playing like nine it was played at nine fifty.

1:55:46 At night. Like I couldn’t, I couldn’t see it. At like a regular time. And I didn’t, I didn’t want to go at nine at 10 o’clock at night to watch a movie. Right. Even if Sarah Sherman’s at it, I’m not. And I love I love Sarah Sherman. She’s my favorite. She’s my favorite SNL cast member. I think she’s gone now. I think she left. Did Sarah Sherman leave? No. I I think she did. I’m never watching Saturday Live ever again. If I ever, the years. We saw The next one that we saw was the scream on scene again, our second time doing this, where we thought buddy was going to be the first week, but it was this week. Yeah. So you buddy. Buddy. Okay. I’m bringing it up so I can look at Super fun. It makes fun of like a Barney-style kind of kids’ show. Where

1:56:46 It’s like the whole movie is like episodes of the show, like little little clips, little hips. But but the the buddy characters Kind of weird and going nuts and and and killing kids. And then it’s like it’s funny, and then the kids start talking. Kid and Michael Key does the voice, yeah. Billy, oh, he went away. It’s a stupid fun. It was a good time, and it was. Very different, but it still was Original. I guess. Yeah. I mean, you got Christine Cristin Milioti, who I like. She’s in the pig one. Yeah. Patton Oswalt, Keegan-Michael Key. Yeah, a lot of good people in this the movie that all these people are in it. I watch a lot of talk shows and and and late nights. Not a single person has been on any talk shows to promote this. Uh they probably don’t have the budget for it. Uh this looks like maybe it’s not it’s not

1:57:49 Village Road Show is It’s not put out by studio, it’s an independent. Film, but this is like what Dave does, you know how he counts. The opening Um Companies for movies. This had a lot. This had, it didn’t hold the record. It was like six or ish or so. A lot of these independent. horror movies ha yeah, they have like fifteen. production partners. Yeah. And that’s that that’s when you know it’s it’s an oh boy. Here we go. Well, I mean, it’s just, it’s just. A lot of work. Is it it all has to do with like funding? You know, so let’s say the let’s say the movie costs$10 million to make. Someone will say, we’ll give you$500,000. Another company will say, we’ll give you a million dollars. So it’s all just sources of funding and distribution and that kind of stuff. Well, it’s funny because there’s scenes where He no, he’s he’s a dinosaur. No, he’s a unicorn. Yeah, he unicorns. But his ass is kind of thick.

1:58:52 Kind of big. Yeah. And these kids are in this well because they’re trying to escape. And then he tries to get down there, but he gets stuck. So he hops out, gets a knife, and cuts off one of his side. Fat hips. But he’s a Kind of thing. So he’s cutting fur, but underneath the fur is like blood and organs and flesh. Yeah. It’s just, it’s a, it’s funny. It’s a fun. A fun romp. I may watch it one more time, but it’s it’s like it’s it’s and then at the a at the very end when this girl finally does find her way out and escapes blah blah blah. It’s like it’s kinda like the ring where she finds this T V set and climbs through and then she’s in then like. Japan or something. She or was in Mexico? Somewhere. Yeah, she’s in the another part of the world. But she walk runs down this hallway. on the on the on the on the in the hall there’s a drawing of Buddy. There’s two other ones. Two friends. So there might be two more of these unicorn things out there killing people, Terrence.

2:00:00 It’s definitely worth seeing’cause it’s just I knew I I did want to see it. It’s just yeah, it was just Now it’s playing at uh 10:50 at night. It’s playing almost 11 o’clock. Jesus Christ. So it’s like, no, no, no. No, that’s that’s way. That’s unless you work, unless you can sleep during the day and then go see up all night. Sleep all day. That’s right. Um yeah, no, I would I would fall asleep on the way to the theater. Maybe crash. Let me backwards a little bit. I’ll give it two and a half. I give it 2.25. And the last one that Go to Tim’s do other ones he saw? Well, we we’ll do we got one more of us and he’ll do all his. And then we got a few more that we both saw. The last one that we saw that Dave just watched, I think, too, was this colony. Mood, which Tim was surprised I even saw it because I know that you are scared. I was very intrigued. It’s not it’s it’s the other one more. What’s the other?

2:01:05 Asian horror movie coming out soon. Hope. Hope. How those that look very different and original. Yeah. This one It was about like this this outbreak, but got the only thing I mean you know the whole the whole movie I really enjoyed. Just the reading. I think the reading takes my eyes away from what’s happening on the screen. You’re always looking down. Yeah, like something’s happening on the screen. I gotta look down and then read something back up, and whatever was just there, it’s gone. I don’t like that. It just takes practice. I guess so. I’m not used to that. Yeah. Yeah, it just takes practice. I mean, Yeah, I mean, that’s all I can say. It just takes practice. It was, it was, though. Original, it was fun. Does Teb have the hearts for Asians? He loves Asian women. And if you’re listening, what’s your name? By link too. Yeah yeah. Um yeah, if you’re listening if you’re listening if we have if we have two listeners now.

2:02:08 Um It’s it’s a very I Pandemic, like the outbreak happens fucking fast. And it’s, it’s the colony. It’s like it’s it’s like ants. Like like they’re all realizing so they’re connected. Yeah, like like like how ants act when they, you know, are in a colony is how these things things are acting. And the effect sometimes was was when they would attach to each other. How they would move. Yeah, how they would move and flip and their and their bones would snap around and break and everything. It was it was it was fun. Yeah. This is the one that we saw after T2. After we saw, which we’re going to talk about soon, Dogstar, right? So Dogstar first. And then T2. And then after that, and I think it was this, which had damn. So I was kind of drowsy during this version. So I think I did conquer. You did, you did. I did conc a little bit, but I was still. Awake. Yes. Well, you guys are talking about much in kind of the trailer. silently on the on IMDB and I’m like

2:03:11 That then some of that stuff looks really cool. I don’t know how these these people got possessed and how they would be on their back and they won they was like they would flip. Like these, these stun actors that were doing this was like, and then how they would run, then they would scream, they would all talk, they would all scream and they all connect. It was good. I gave it three. I was like, this is this is this is a good movie and all. Very good. Why change it? Whoops. tire the next day. Well, what when we saw that on a Saturday, I think on on didn’t we just do something Sunday or we just stay home? So Sunday we went to Olive Garden. Yeah, for for mom’s birthday. Yeah, I I was tired. Yeah, I I just wanted to stay home all day Sunday. But I couldn’t’cause of the birth of of my wife. But um, all right, Tim, you finish up what you seen that we didn’t see. All right. Uh I saw super troopers three. Nope.

2:04:12 Um I honestly don’t. recall ever seeing Super Troopers 2. I don’t think I ever saw Super Troopers 2. How are you going to enjoy part 3 to me? Well, yeah. So. I didn’t I’m watching this and I remember seeing the first one and thinking it wasn’t. Mm-hmm. It wasn’t the first one, it was not funny. I didn’t think it was funny. And um but that one is has like a cult classic. Like, in terms of like comedy content, I don’t know why. I don’t think it’s funny. And I went and saw this, and you know, my 10-chuckle minimum: zero. Chuckles. I don’t believe you. I don’t believe you, Ted. I don’t believe you didn’t smile or chuckle once. I don’t believe you. There was, there was not. There was not a single chuckle. at all. in the movie. Andrew Dismukes is in it. And he couldn’t even

2:05:14 Give me the chuckle. Chase Crawford is in it. And he couldn’t get me to smile. Oh, he faced the D and the boys, yeah. Yeah yeah. Not eat Kevin. Kevin Heffernan Not funny. The Broken Lizard guys have never, the only good movie they ever made was the original. The Dukes of Hazzard with Johnny Knoxville. And Seann William Scott. William Scott, yeah. That is the only one. All of their like Club Dread. Beerfest. All those movies all fucking suck. They’re not funny. Okay. And uh Sucks. There’s a guy in here who’s in three movies that I saw. this this this time around. Uh let me let me bring up let me bring up his movies. Um Iqbal Sabah. And I believe that’s his name? Okay.

2:06:16 I believe he maybe I’m getting it mixed up with someone else. Oh, I guess no, I guess he’s not in the other things. There was a guy that was in two movies. but this is not the same guy. I think there’s a guy in Mutiny and he was also in. Um the magical faraway tree. This is not. Uh there is there is a there are a scene there is a scene with with breasts. So If There’s that. But this movie was not funny. It gets and they and they set it up for a Super Troopers 4, which I have a feeling they’ve already shot. I bet they’ve already I bet they shot these back to back to keep to keep production costs down. I give this point one when a point. Two. Popcorns, nipple nipple. It’s gonna say for the boobs. Okay. Yeah, that’s it. Uh yeah, this movie was shit. But One four comes out.

2:07:19 probably sit. Uh next movie. Do you think? Tim liked it, but he’s just not telling us? No, Tim Tim’s honest. I think Tim knows what’s funny and what’s not. Did see bus boys in there, and that is a funny film. A funny, funny film. Uh I saw I don’t think this one got 10 shuckles. Uh, spa weekend I saw. Which I wanted to see this. This is something that I do want to catch down the road. Is I mean You would, you’ll probably like it enough. Um I like Leslie Mann. Actually, I’ll I like everybody in it. Um Leslie Mann. Isla Fisher. Who I mean it’s kind of like Bridesmaids, where Isla Fisher was sort of like the loose cannon. Right. Leslie Mann, you know, is the Kirsten, what’s the name? Kristen Wiig.

2:08:21 And uh Michelle Buteau. I think Michelle Buteau is funny. I’ve always liked her. And Anna Faris, who I’ve always loved Anna Faris. Yeah, both Anna Faris and Isla Fisher are funny in this movie, but I don’t think I don’t think I hit 10 shuckles. Danger. But uh but I mean I when you see it, I have a feeling you’ll like it to a certain extent. I don’t think you’re going to come, you’re going to. walk to the bathroom saying that movie was fantastic i’m going to go take a dump Okay. But it’s you know It was it was okay. I I’ve always I’ve always liked the the the lead actresses in it. I went. Uh I would give this uh probably two Yeah. Okay. One and a half to two popcorns, somewhere in that. 1.75 popcorns. Um And I saw a movie that you said you will never see. Yeah, The Brink of War.

2:09:22 This is that Reagan’s the seed the one in that it’s Jeff Daniels as Ronald Reagan. It’s made by Angel Pictures. Which I will see. You’re going to see one angel. Finally, you’re going to see an angel picture. I don’t think you’ve ever seen an angel picture. No, it wasn’t the other one that he was in angel picture. Ordinary angels? Ordinary angels. Was that an angel picture? Was that? I don’t know if that was an angel picture. I don’t know this. Uh I mean In terms of Historical inch it Interest I thought this movie was okay. You would fucking, you would fall asleep. That is why I know. You would be grabbing the door. Go into the theater and you would pass out from boredom. This door handle is boring. Yeah, the most boring door handle I’ve ever. Oh scene click me But yeah, I mean, it was interesting to see it. And it is.

2:10:25 What age on Angel Pictures, I do believe Angel Pictures is. Uh And I mean, it is a word and I don’t and I don’t mean it in a in a in a negative way. I do believe that it is sort of a conservative propaganda. Um Yeah. Production company. Like they they are making movies. That have A slant to them. They want to show you the idealized version of. classic conservatism. Right, right. And so And this and this is a prime example of it. Where it it shows like the best. The best of the best when it comes to uh the like conservative and republic republican ideals. and what it can do. And you know, and this and this is basically shows the beginning of the things that happened that eventually brought down Uh the Berlin Wall and communism as we knew it.

2:11:29 During the Cold War and ended the war. Is that seen in there? Gorbachev take down that wall. Is that in it? No, no, that that scene it that it does. That takes place after. The events in this movie. Sequel? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. The broken war. No, uh like what what happened was I guess We had our Star Wars missile. Shield. Yeah. And Russia was They had Uh missiles pointed at the US. And so it was basically the US saying, stop it with the nuclear missiles. And they’re saying, well, you stop it with your nuclear missiles and you stop it with. this with the shield. Because if we take our stuff down, then you can just attack. And so basically, it was, they were both talking about what they called mutually assured destruction. You know. you once they start launching on one it’s just going to destroy the world they both know it And so basically it was it was just a de-escalation of that, but like how close it came to not happening.

2:12:35 But you would be so bored out of your goddamn mind. I’m bored now. Yeah. So I would give this. Uh, one and one and a half. One and a half. I will never need to see it again. Okay. Uh was there anything else I said? Is that everything? Nothing else. Is that everything that I saw? Feel free to tell us what you saw. one night that I’m jealous of. Oh, last night, oh yeah, I went and saw uh Braveheart. Yes, you did. Which I don’t believe I’ve seen that in. At least 25 at least 25 years. I did see the theater. I remember seeing it. I had to go to the Tillman. To see it. It did play at our theater, I believe. Eventually, because when it I think I think when it got nominated for best picture, they brought it back and I think it did play at our But I when I wanted to see it during its Initial run, I had to go out to tell me to see it.

2:13:37 And um And I loved it back then. It is funny to watch it now because. There are there are some filmmaking techniques that are like really clunky. Like there’s certain scenes, I don’t know if it was just in this, that are out of focus. For real. Yeah, i and and and some of the some of the uh Edit cuts uh are are clunky. Um Yeah, and I honestly, I did not remember. at all. The whole opening where he’s a kid. Um yeah, for real. I did that that was that been completely erased from my mind. Okay. But uh but no, that movie’s that movie’s freaking fantastic even with its I never saw it. It’s a movie that I still, and I’m shocked that, you know, me of all people hadn’t shown my own son Braveheart yet. And I keep saying that’s. That’s on our list. Every time he wants to watch it, it’s a, you know, it’s like, I don’t know, late or something, or it’s like, I can’t watch it now. It is a, it is, it, it is a three-hour movie. So, yeah, yeah. But it’s, it’s, it’s, it’s fantastic. Yeah, it was.

2:14:43 Regal is doing their month of month of classics. So tonight they were showing. Um, streetcar named Desire. I don’t, I don’t know what else is on the list for the month. I’ll have to look that up. But yeah, no, I went and saw it last night because I wanted to see Buddy. That’s right. But it was full. Like He uh like the the the theater that it was playing in. Thinks I looked at the, I looked at the, they have the, you know, the little seat numbers on the outside. Yeah. It seats 47 people. I’m sorry, 37 people, 37 people in that theater. And uh and it was Almost every seat was taken. I was like, oh, no. Well, that’s when I’ve never done these. scream unseen moves, whatever they’re called. And when we saw Buddy. I was packed. It was like watching Infinity War. It was packed. I just didn’t get it. Do they have a special where the tickets are cheaper and then you can also get…

2:15:44 Like at Regal, the tickets are cheaper. It’s like a$9 movie or something like that or$8 movie. And you also get a seven or eight dollar concession combo. No, I don’t think they have to. The tickets are cheaper. Is there a combo for food, though? I don’t know. I don’t know either. So yeah, since I have Regal Unlimited or the the the crown club or whatever. You do get a discount on concession. So you get a small drink and small popcorn for like seven or eight dollars. Total? Yeah, no. So it’s an inexpensive night out. And people. They for us it’s It’s, they tell you what it is. It’s like it’ll be like, they call it the Monday Mystery Movie, and it’ll say horror edition, or it’ll tell you if it’s rated R or rated PG or what have you. But they’re almost always. sold out. Yeah. It was weird because we we saw, what was the first one we saw? Um it ends.

2:16:46 And then we went back to next Monday to see Buddy And we saw like Six to ten of the same people that we saw the following week. Previous week, or actually, of the same people. I think they must go there every Monday night to see. It’s something to do. It’s it’s even even when it comes to like movies viewing, it’s an inexpensive way to go to the movies and have a good time. I was shocked. I think people were just curious. And it’s funny because when we saw when we saw It Ends, we all wanted it to be buddy. And then there’s a trail where Insidious, and here people go, oh, it’s it’s it’s not that. And something else stupid. And then up came Buddy, and the crowd went, aww. Yeah. Cause that’s a way of knowing it’s not gonna be Buddy. Well um I found that very rarely is it a big movie. It’s usually A smaller movie that they want people to talk about.

2:17:49 So it’s a movie that people go in afterwards. They’re like, oh, yeah, I went and saw, like, one of the first ones I saw was like the boys in the boat. And then. But one of the times I went, it was something that was a big movie. The Last Jurassic Park, like a week before it came out. It was like, that was, that was, yeah, I was shocked that you were like, yeah, and even you were shocked. Yeah, I was like, I forget what I thought it was going to be, but I was like, oh, Jurassic Park, okay. Um yeah. So Those those movies are really kind of cool because you do get to see. You know, you get to see a new movie. for cheap. cheap uh and in in my case you get cheap concessions And you get to tell people, oh yeah, I saw such and such. It comes out next week. It’s really cool. We’re down to our last three. Thank you for handing in there. Gang guys, sir. Yeah. We have three more to go. We saw mutiny.

2:18:51 Yes. Oh, well, I didn’t like they uh yeah, I don’t like Tim’s responsor. This movie, okay, well, yeah, I think hear me out. Jason Statham is the younger Liam Neeson now. Every movie is the same. However, I still enjoy the dumb movies he makes. Is it what’s that say about me? I just enjoy Statham. Taking action. Yes. I don’t care about story, plot. Whatever. Just him doing what he does, which is all he does, is this. This was die hard on a cargo ship. That’s it. Yeah. I’m looking at the All the movies he’s made in the past five years, which I think 20 Shelter was last one, I think, right? 2021, Wrath of Man. The f9. Operation Fortune, Fast X, Meg 2, Expendables 4.

2:19:54 Beekeeper. This is where it starts now. B shelter. Shelter. Mutiny. Yeah, they’re all the same. They’re all the same movie. Working man, beekeeper. Are exactly in this and Mutiny, almost all they’re almost all the same. And Beekeeper 2, I think, is in the works. Yeah. I liked Beekeeper. I thought Beekeeper was cool and I liked Working Man a lot. Uh I thought Wrath of Man was cool. That’s isn’t is that the one where he was the bank robber? I I think so, yeah. He used to park across the street and and watched the bank for hours, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank yeah, this thank for everybody. This movie was fun. He’s a stupid he’s he’s a bad actor, but when he looks at you and kicks your ass and he fucking that harpoon gun, I screamed at him. Yeah. Yeah, I mean he’s he’s yeah he he’s I’ll say this.

2:20:56 He’s like Chuck Norris. Where Those Chuck Norris movies that he made back in the 80s. We’re all just kind of like Whatever fucking movies. They were all like, they were the same fucking movie every goddamn day. And he got a paycheck and that, and he went off to the and and and those are those are these these are all enjoyable. I none of these movies that I said over the past five years. Out. Bad movies. No, they’re just fun. They’re fun to watch. Because he’s just like, Like e I I know I g I groan when when when I said mutiny. It’s still like you go see. He’s like Gerard Butler. Like you go, you go and see those Gerard Butler movies. Greenland 2. Yeah, and one. Uh yeah, no, it’s uh so I I He has five upcoming movies. Let’s see what they’re called. Oh, they want more titles. Uh John Doe. Fast forever. Viva La Madness. That sounds fun.

2:21:59 Beekeeper 2. Yeah. And something here, which I’m kind of curious, I’m going to click it on it. Jason Statham stole my bike. Did hear about this movie and nobody else in this movie I have not heard any of these people’s names. I am hoping that Beekeeper 2 has like a colon: Beekeeper 2 getting stung. Or beekeeper to a lesser boogler. Yeah. The honey. David Leitch is directing. Jason Statham stole my bike. But he directed Bullet Train. Uh Atomic Blonde. Hobbs and Shaw. Oh shit. The fall guy. Oh my god. All kinds of my films. All kind of action films. The Deadpool 2. Uh so I have a feeling that that’s going to be a fucking We’re going to all pop boners over that movie. Over Jason Statham’s Steeling Bike. Yep.

2:23:03 Um How many popcorns blue glutes would you give it? Begin with three. Tim, how were you? Uh two two point five. I think it was four. Oh my God. Like I said to him, I get my two words for you. You’re dumb. I love I love these these these kind of movies. I mean, yeah. I I Part of me was like, Thought I was going to not see this movie. I thought I was going to miss it. Well that’s what we did with with with shelter. We we just missed it and I haven’t seen it. I don’t think I saw shelter. Did I see shelter? I don’t think I did. Yeah, with the woman with the girl. Yeah, okay. Let me look. Let me look here. He’s protecting a little girl, I think, or something. Yeah, I don’t think I saw that one. I think that one, I think I just completely missed that one. Bill, yeah, Bill Night, no, Naomi. Yeah, no, it’s on something now, isn’t it? It’s only those transporter ones are fun. Those are you can watch it on stars. It’s on stars, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. But we don’t have stars.

2:24:06 Caitlin came up here for Mother’s Day. We’re going to Knoebels. Knoebels. And we and she wanted to watch Michael. And I have it. But then just for Shiza Giggles, I went on to, you know, to Michael and it says stars is play free for me. I’m like, how? So I played it. We watched it through stars. We never had stars. There was no ads. It was just like, maybe it was like a free trial. Maybe you’re going to start paying for it in a week. You’re going to have a seven-day free trial. Oh, boy. But I’m gonna grab a beverage right out. I’m arched football. Tim’s mouth is very dry. He needs to wetten his mouth. He needs to moisturize his mouth. What’s he getting? What’s he getting, Luke? I think he’s just kidding. Water. I think like some kind of coke. Soda? A soda. I don’t know. Yeah, yeah um

2:25:08 Yes. I wanna s I wanna think it’s a and I’m back wait wait okay hold on to it Do you think it is? Luke and I are betting. I think it’s water. Luke thinks it’s a soda. Tim? What is it? Innovative, it is a Roger Grand. Cherry cola zero sugar. I lost a bit. Um What was the matter between us? Did you guys bet? We didn’t read him there either. Um Two more to go. Both of these came out this past weekend. Movie that was filmed. Four years ago? It’s from 2022. Yeah. And pulling the show. Warner Brothers, Coyote vs. Acme. When we first heard about this production or being made, I was like, this is a perfect idea. And then it got showed and like, ah, shit, we’re never going to see it. Then the fans complained and shit happened and it’s out there.

2:26:10 And I’m so glad it is because it’s exactly what I what I thought it was gonna be and it was fun to watch. Yeah. Um This movie I I think it was a mistake for them to shelve it. Totally. Totally agreed, Tim. But I I mean, I mean, I kind of knew it wasn’t going to be the greatest movie ever made. It’s not better than Roger Rabbit, first of all. No. But it is a fun movie to see. Uh I I’d I’d be curious Like if we were able to like go back in time and change time. To see how it would have done had they. released it. Would this have been an HBO Max thing or would this have been A theatrical release. I was thinking more of streaming. I think for some reason, I thought they were going to push. Cause like. Wonder Woman 2? Wasn’t right the fucking Streaming, I think. No, no, that was M Theaters.

2:27:13 Were you streaming and theaters at the same time? At the same time? They might have done because that came out that came out what, Christmas 20. 21, 2020. But we watched it at home for the first time. Yeah, I swear to God. I was at the theater, I was on Christmas Day. I watched it. Maybe, maybe, yeah, maybe we just said, fuck it, it’s homeless to just watch it at home. I saw that at the theater. It was. The theater was supposed to be uh limited seating, but it was still packed. Um but that happened that that happened um There was a bombing. here in Nashville. There was a guy who blew himself up outside the AT&T. Transmitter downtown about two blocks from where I work. I remember this story. And it knocked out communication. So on Christmas Day, I had no Nobody, nobody could get a hold of me because I had no idea. cell service. I had no cell service. I had no internet.

2:28:16 Nothing. Um so for that whole day, there I there was nothing I could, I couldn’t like call anybody say, Happy Christmas. Um for that entire day because of the bombing that was right right around the corner from where I worked Um But yeah, that’s where I saw Woodworth. I think that this whole point of this movie is everything that himself is this the movie you saw late at night and you fell asleep 10 10 saw it slice, but only remembered seeing it. But I really only saw it once. Right. Yeah, I had it was. I had been working all day. It was like I worked like that. 11 to 7 or something like that. Right in the middle of the day, yeah. And I went and it was like an 8:30 screen, which isn’t very late. No, when you worked on that, and as soon as you sit down, you’re like, but yeah, I sat down and just went and basically after. About 10 minutes into the movie, like he had just gone to to the lawyer and I just sort of concked out.

2:29:21 And I was just sort of like fading in and out. So I’m like, oh, John Cena. Oh, oh, they’re in court. Oh, they’re so in Washington, D.C. It was kind of like that. And I got to the point where I was like, I’m going to have to come back. And I just finished the movie. I think it was a great idea of everything happening to the coyote. The whole when we went when we sat down at Turner Cayago. What do you want? Like, what’s gonna make this? Cause she’s a big Looney Tunes fan. What’s going to make this happen? She said she wants Bugs Bunny’s voice to sound like Bugs Bunny. Like a lot of them in the past don’t sound as she said he was okay, but it still wasn’t as. Bugsy as You want it. I said I wanted, he better not talk. Don’t have the curry talk the carry talk, unless he’s t talking to that dog, sheep dog. Morning, Roger, whatever they say. Have him and he didn’t talk. And I said, I gotta see the Wile E. Coyote genius business card, and it was in it. Sold.

2:30:24 There are For longtime Warner Brother animation fans, this movie delivered. Like, it really was. A lot of I d I you know, I I complain about nostalgia. Right. But I think doing fan service for the sake of like making a few Fucking cry babies happy. Right. It’s stupid. This, I think, is the way it should be done. Callbacks to things that you loved, but without having it. Be the center of Focus. Like the main focus. Yeah, because I think all the cases, you know. Did your parachute blow up? Did you do? And they’re showing the old cartoons that it happened to him. They didn’t reshoot it, redo it, redraw it in 2026 time. It was the old animation. From Free ling, whatever cartoons that you’re like, oh my God, there’s the, I wanted the whole bat wing, the whole bats thing that he did. I want everything, and it everything was perfect.

2:31:31 They did I they did such a good job. I mean It really was a fun movie to see. Um There you go. For them to choose Porky pig movie over this one? Yeah. To release? Yeah. Because that porky pig movie. Didn’t they make it exist for tax purposes to make something or money? Something like that. Like, like it was a tax write-off. So they could say, okay, we put this much money into this movie. $100 million, so it would be a tax credit. So they so they would it would they would count as a as a loss. So they wouldn’t pay taxes. Take they would be able to scrub a hundred million or whatever off of their. And the only thing that it’s it made 15 million, which isn’t a lot, but they’re saying that it may it’s making money, it’s making more than they thought. And now the only thing that has my fingers crossed is Batgirl, yeah. It’s like that’s on a shelf. Somewhere. Release that. Even if it’s streaming, just put it out there. Have the fans decide and judge it. You know what I mean?

2:32:40 Yeah, um I mean, I would watch Batgirl. I would prefer to take release in theater. Warner Brothers would have to do a similar thing to this because even though it said Warner Brothers at the beginning. This is distributed by Other companies. It’s the Warner Brothers. Doesn’t I don’t think Warner Brothers has much of a stake in this. I heard Will Forte was on a bunch of podcasts about it. He was saying that there’s this company called Ketchup. A movie company that Ketchup bought the rights. to it and thanks to them they put it out there. Yeah, something that I’m part of, the Legion M. which they have a stake in this too. They they they put out They help distribute and finance and movies. A lot of times, Legion M does they’ll put money towards. already made movies like independent films and help get them on. screens and stuff. So they had something to do with this one as well. But it was. And two, during the movie, you leaned over and you said,

2:33:45 You you love John Cena. I d I don’t think I said that once. No? Uh yeah, I think you were on a sign and held up. I yeah, I didn’t no one heard me. I he was okay. He he was it’s okay. He’s not he’s in everything. I just I’m not a fan of him. That’s it. Tim, we hate John Cena. No, you love him. Every time now, there was a point in your life that you love him, love, love, love him, love him. And I always said, I hate him, I hate him, hate him, hate him, hate him. Now you’re trying to say, I hate him too because I do. It’s okay to love it. But you, it’s okay to love Cena. I love Cena. Listen, I’m going to open my door right now. I love Cena. I just let my entire In the neighborhood, now I like him as Peacemaker. I like him as Peacemakers Farm. I do like him as Peacemakers. All right. You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to go to the. John Cena filmography. And I’m going to go. Oh my God. I’m just going to go the last. John’s CN in character. Let’s see. Okay. No, no.

2:34:46 Pastor John Cena. Alright. Uh h his last few movies. Go ahead. Cody vs. Uh I almost said coyote versus ugly. Yeah. Coyote versus Acme. Good. Little Brother. I didn’t see it. It’s on. I do want to watch that still. It’s on some. Same thing. Peacemaker. I have not seen Season 2, but I do like it. I like it. Very much, actually. Very, very much. It is very, very fun. Uh has a super Oh, he was he was in Superman. Yeah, he was Peacemaker and I forgot about that. Uh wow, there’s a lot of it’s, I mean, there’s a lot of WWF stuff here, right? Jackpot. And didn’t see it. I heard of that, didn’t watch it. Did you watch that? I don’t think we did. Ricky Stanicky, which you saw. Yeah. Yeah. That’s alright. Argyle, he had a small part in that. I that movie was like just okay. But it wasn’t the, it wasn’t because of him.

2:35:49 Uh freelance. I don’t know. No. It sounds familiar. Oh, that’s with Alison Brie. You love her. I don’t think I saw that. Yeah, Alison Brie. Yeah, that that’s something Fuck it. It’s too much to get through. Exactly. You know why? He’s not that good. Well, no, what it is, is he’s got everything. He’s got him on like TV shows and all the WWE stuff. Like it doesn’t just say WWE it’s like The different special like Made in America, Backlash Tampa, Monday Night Raw, WrestleMania 42, SmackDown, Saturday Night Main Event, Survivor Series, NXT. Clashing pair, like like it’s I just have to go through all of those. That’s just twenty, that’s just 2025. And I and I I love Wipeout. And then he hosted it. And I was like, I can’t like it. Like there’s so much.

2:36:50 Oh, vacation friends, I remember that. Oh, he was Rocksteady in Mutant Mayhem. I forgot about that. Barbie, he was a Ken. Yes, he was. Was for the eight seconds. Yeah, yeah. He was a mermaid camp. He’s he’s got a lot of stuff. Vacation friends one and two, yeah. Anyway, how many hay popcorns would you give it, Tim? For this, uh three three point seven five. Not quite a four. I got a C.75. Alright, this is what was the last movie that we were all Almost close, end of Oak Street. Yeah. We each gave this movie. 3.75. Yeah, that’s pretty good. Yeah. That’s it. You guys aren’t as dumb as I thought. Yeah, cover a green with tip. The last movie, finally, two hours and some change. Later maybe. Ridley Scott’s biggest bomb. And it’s sad, dog stars.

2:37:53 That uh Dog stars? The dog stars. The ends of the names. Yeah. Yeah. With Keanu. With Keanu Reeves now. The the dog stars. Take a billy, um Danius was the guy. Josh Brolin? Josh Brolin. Like What was it, 2035? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it takes like ten years in the future something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But what happens to like viruses and, you know, illnesses Um I didn’t think it was that bad. That yeah, everyone’s saying that it’s it’s Horrible. I enjoyed it. Yeah. It’s not great. But I did have fun watching it and It’s the it’s it’s the cast. Yeah. But even her. What’s her name? Margaret Qualley. Margaret. I love Margaret Qualley. I love her so much. I love her. I love her mom. Yeah, I love it. I love her dad who made love to her mom and made her. Yeah. Yeah. This is a movie that I kept seeing the trailer, and I kept saying that movie is going to be boring.

2:38:58 Right. And what do you think, Tim? I don’t think it was boring. Time saw it today, actually. Yeah, by the way. Yeah, I saw it. I saw it. Right about an hour before. We started, I had I got out of the movie. I had to go to Walmart to get some stuff for my car. They came here and I got on to do the show. Um I I I went and saw it. Um If It started out exactly what I expected. I expected it to be. like a um walking dead without zombies. That it was like The Last of Us, too. We kept on saying The Last of Us Walking Dead style. Yeah. So it’s definitely not. It’s not a. It’s not original. Yeah. And even freaking Guy Pearce. Who I love Guy Pearce. It is based on a book. You know what’s weird, though? Is Tim, I never liked Guy Pearce. I don’t know why. I never liked him. But in this movie? Fucking adored him. Yeah, guy. I like Guy Pearce. He’s he’s one of those guys. He was the movie he was in. Like he was like the lead action star or the leader. There was that memento. Um

2:40:05 Oh yeah. He that he was the bad guy in Iron Man Three. Uh yeah, LA Confidential, which I LA Confidential is kind of like this where I, the fucking movie, I’m like, I don’t want to see that movie. And then when I finally saw it, I’m like, oh my God, that was a really good movie. Yeah, yeah, I do like him. I just never was drawn to him. But this one here, I thought he was. He was he was great. Fantastic in this. I uh So it started out, and it was like, it was exactly what I expected. It was just like, all right. So here they are, they got to protect themselves from this. And then it started to get a little wacky, like. It almost like turned into like the fucking Warriors where Like all these different gangs of scavengers, and we’re all coming, and they’re all dressed the same. Like these guys the the the one guys all look like they should be in the frickin War Road Warrior. Well that’s the kind of thing. I I kinda liked how they’re like in groups now, like like like clans. I did like the whole Road Warrior feel. Like like they’re just like this is

2:41:07 The evolved to the to link to that. kind of species and a group. For storytelling, it’s easy because it’s like, okay, you can immediately look at someone and say, that’s a bad guy. You know, if they all look like, like, if we’re talking about visual storytelling, you could tell that, oh, those guys look very different than these guys. Those guys are bad guys. And so, and they and when they went out to Guy Pearce’s farm, all those people look like They made them look like Native Americans, like the other ones look like Road Warrior skinheads, what do they call them, like happy boys or proud boys or whatever. Um Then they get in the plane and they go to Castle Rock or whatever it was they were trying to get to. And then it got weird. Well that as soon as as they got to that area I was like, something’s a fuck yeah. Something isn’t right. But I kinda liked. It it was so futuristic, like like Last of Us and Walking Dead, like I liked Areas aren’t what you what you think they are. You know what I mean? And I like that that they were gonna get raped or eaten or mauled or or something and it was just a different twist.

2:42:16 And that that was kind of like uh that one. series of episodes in um Uh Walking Dead where they they go to the what is it the terminus? Terminal or the term where they go there and it’s the cannibals. Yeah, yeah. Although they didn’t say that there were cannibals, but you knew. Yeah. Yeah. But they get there and like, oh, she’s a doctor. Hey, would you like to marry a doctor? Yes, I would. Yeah. That whole thing was just kind of surreal. Like, okay, they’re in an airport. Yeah, they’re playing the whole airport theme. They’re weird. And then it just, it kind of, it was almost like Snowpiercer. Like, Like she’s dressed up as a stewardess. Tan in flight attendant. Yeah. Yeah. It was kind of like that. It was just sort of like. It was just sort of like goofy. Um but that actually took me took me out of it a little bit. I’m like oh yeah.

2:43:19 And then and then when they get back, you know, they go. I thought he was going to fly into the side of the mountain because he said that he was going to. Well, that’s the thing. That he was so sad and distraught that his wife and daughter died. And then he kept on saying, I want to crash this mountain. But now he has purpose. Yeah. Like now he, I don’t know, he’s falling in love with her now and a little bit. He has nobody. And I really. They killed a dog in this. Which I’m shocked. That never happens. You never, you never kill the dog. As soon as I heard the yelp, I’m like, well, maybe the dog’s just stabbed and it was fine. But no, when he buries it, it’s like, oh boy. No, no, that dog’s not getting out of that. No. And it was, it was, I don’t know. I thought it was a good movie. I love Josh Brolin. Josh Brolin was great in this. And you got to see him in his underwear. And he’s for being in his sixties and fifty-sixties now? Yeah. He looks good. And I thought for certain that Guy Pearce was gonna die.

2:44:22 And honestly, I think they probably should have killed him. Well that’s the thing is that I I think I I s yeah, I think you’re right. He could have lived or died and it wouldn’t have changed anything in his Had they yeah, had they I thought he was going to die when they were taking off. Either either taking off from His farm when they’re being chased by the the the Indian looking people or when they were escaping from the the the airport. Like he could have, he could have been shot and died and we would have had that moment. And then That would have given Jacob Elordi, like reason A, he’s got to take care of this girl. And B, he loves her. And she’s giving him A reason to live. Right. That I it would have worked, but instead Guy Pearce lives to stair. Yeah, he he was good. I liked everything about it. It’s it’s not great, but it’s a shame that it made nothing. And it’s it’s gonna bomb and and flop and his biggest flop of his career and shit. Well, and they were and they were trying to push it as an IMAX movie. I’m like, I’m like, really? This? I mean, I could see there were, there were some sweeping.

2:45:35 sweeping shots of like the city and the the mountains and like it was a scenic movie but If I had paid $23 or whatever it costs to see an IMAX. I would have been pissed. Well, why don’t they just like he kept him going home to his old place? And getting medicine or seeing his wife’s picture, why not just stay there? Like, why are you? ‘Cause are you scared you’re gonna get attacked? Well, I I don’t think he wants to be alone. I think he just wants those moments. So he doesn’t want to be alone. He also has a responsibility with. Uh Danus. Yeah, with Anos. So, yeah, there’s that. He has something that’s keeping him. keeping them there. Well how many popcorns would you give? The dog stars. Uh, two. Two. So look. I go to three. I give a 3.25. I like Jacob a lot and I like Thanos.

2:46:37 So let’s just say this: out of the whatever 25-ish movies that we talked about, only one. We had the same ratings. I thought there were two. I thought there were two movies. It was close. No. It was the other one was NAOK Street. It was like 3.75 and 4. It was. There, it was Coyote. Was exact rating for all from all three of us. Okay. Sam? The episode was fucking long. Was a long episode. Uh should we see what’s coming out? Yeah, let’s see what’s coming out. Hold on, let’s see. A release calendar. So hopefully. We can see something. Something in the next a bunch of Hopefully we’ll have, let’s just say by the maybe the end, beginning of October. Yeah, by October 1st, let’s hope that we have. ‘Cause today’s what? The third. Third. Third. Okay. So we’ll just shoot for the the beginning ish of the month. We s we we say that now. So this would if we weren’t recording tonight, this is the movie I would have went to see tonight.

2:47:39 Uh by any means. with Wahlberg. Oh yeah, we’re seeing that over Saturday. Yeah. Uh onslaught, which I do want to see. That looks fun. I think I want to watch that too. Tom and Jerry, Forbidden Compass. No, I saw the trailer. I’m good. It’s the Mattel Jerry. Hope comes out next on the ninth. That’s the other Korean movie. Yes, that’s the one I want to say. That’s probably going to be. Ooh, this pack will be Monday night. It comes out on the ninth, like next weekend. Uh yeah. When what day what day is the ninth? The ninth is a Wednesday. So yeah, we’ll probably have like a They’ll probably have like with it like an early screening on the nine. Maybe it’ll be like this. Uh uh screen unseen maybe or the money. Uh Practical Magic 2. I’m not going to see it. I forget part one. So the first, they actually brought the first one back in theaters last week.

2:48:43 And I considered I’m like, well, maybe I should see it. If I see it, then it’ll give me a reason to see Price Manager too. I didn’t. I the the the the draw for me for practical magic. A Nicole Kidman, for being almost 60, she looks fucking. Amazing. Like, yeah. Yeah. Like, I would just be like, va-va-vum. Uh, and and Lee Pace is in it, and I love Lee Pace. Uh he plays like the male lead. Um What else is there? The runner comes out on the 11th. Yes, reacher. Reacher. I’m done. Take my money. All right. All right. So you have a choice. That weekend, you have the uprising with Andrew Garfield. Or the runner with Alan Ritchson? Which do you see? Well, we’re both. We’re saying the runner first, probably like on a Friday night thing. And then we’ll make the other one and yeah. And I heard that rumor that that’s like a like a A Robin Hood? Origins, yeah. It’s like supposedly, it’s a story that inspired the story of Robin Hood.

2:49:48 Um there’s the fix, which I kind of want to see with Liam Neeson, and Zach. Uh Zach Levi. Yeah, Trero looks like the same. Yeah. Resident Evil, which I do want to see. Done. Yes. It’s got Paul Walter Hauser, who I never miss anything that he’s in. The same guy who made weapons made this. Yeah, I think it looks different than what we’re used to of the other movies. The Wait with Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe. That looks good. Yeah. Uh there’s nothing really like like a big one that’s all just this Sid here and there. What’s that? It’s the clay nation Shaun the Sheep. Nope. Oh, the Wilds and Grammar, people? Yeah. No, I’m good. Tim, did you get your tickets for the Avengers: Endgame re-release? I will get that on the day after I go see it. I don’t get that. Good luck in search for that. I’ll trust me, I’ll get seats. There’s four minutes of new stuff. Four minutes, Tim, four minutes. I’ll get seats. Don’t you worry about me. Okay.

2:50:57 Uh september 25th, Heart of the Beast. with a Brad Pitt dog and Brad Pitt done. Take my money. Oh my God, I cannot wait for that. I am really, no, I am being serious. I am so excited at seeing that movie. I really am. Do you want me to come and say, hey, how you doing? Enjoying that popcorn, enjoying that soda there? He’s like, who’s that sitting next to you? Luke? Is he your son? How old is he? How old are you? Yeah. You’re free to live. And then I’m going to run out of the theater and get tackled by four cops. You’re free to leave anytime. Uh Forgotten Island. That is definitely a movie that I’m so tired of seeing the trailer for. What’s that one? You’re silent. That’s the animated one with the two girls. Oh, yeah. Don’t you fuck it up, I mean. Yeah. Uh that’s uh Charlie Harper.

2:52:00 with Emilia Jones. Stunt driver with Jay Baruchel No, I’m not sure. Jay Baruchel, Ed Helms, Ben Foster. Stuck driver. I wonder what that’s on. That’s probably a streaming one. Hot, hot Sam, take your booty. What is that? It’s it’s uh it’s a uh it’s a Chinese movie featuring a She wants to become a dancer and she gets like. I guess she li she lives a conservative Shawnee’s life and she meets this dancer and then she gets it’s kind of like how Stella got a groove back but Chinese them saying it. I’ll see it. I do w I see the trail and I think the I think the trailer looks looks looks good. Uh uh uh Terrifier 4 on October 1st. That’s a must. And there’s another. That’s when we’re going to have our next episode drive. Yeah. Well, and then October 2nd. This is another movie that I’m tired of the trailer. And I never thought I’d say this. digger. Well, there’s different trailers. I mean I don’t mind seeing like other ones, but the same one is getting kind of old, yeah. That that first one where they basically I mean I it’s it’s kind of funny how they’re how they’re promoting this.

2:53:15 They’re saying they start out by showing you, hey, you, even though you say you don’t like Tom Cruise, you love Tom Cruise. Look at all these great Tom Cruise movies. And guess what? He’s got this one coming out where he plays something you don’t know what it is. And then the new one. Is just kind of like, look, it’s Tom Cruise and he’s being wacky. Yeah, come and see this weird, wacky Tom Cruise. And that’s kind of what the whole trailer, because it doesn’t really, you don’t really know what’s going on. And they look like a surrealist like all the shots are like weird everybody’s making funny faces and stuff Um I think the movie will be fine, but I’m sick of that damn trailer. Yeah, but guess what? We’ll be watching it over the weekend, right? I’ll be there. That’s the only thing we’re. Oh, and then Verity with Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett. I can’t wait to watch that. Kel’s reading the book. I think she’s actually. Done it, huh? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So So yeah, that’s everything that’s coming out in the next month. All right, well, hopefully we’ll get it. Michael Showalter!

2:54:19 directed that. It’s a, it was a second. It said, wow, I would have thought Michael Showalter is usually does like these kind of like. Sweet, goofy comedies. And I did not know that. This was Well Maya’s the director on this. Anne Hathaway in the mood in the trailer. I don’t want to know anything from Cal, so I don’t ask. She looks paralyzed. Yeah. But she’s an author. But every once in a while she moves. Dakota Johnson sees her looking at her and moving. I think she’s just faking it. She’s faking it to make a story, to write a book. That’s what I think this whole thing’s about. I don’t know that. Anyway. Michael Showalter, this I’ll I I’ll go through his his movies that I that I like. Uh He did. Eyes of Tammy Faye, which I enjoyed. He did embrace uh Uh The Big Sick, which I enjoyed. Hello, my name is Doris, which I I loved that movie.

2:55:24 The Baxter, which I think is great. He wrote the Wet Hot American Summer movies. Uh, he did, he did, wrote a lot of the comedies that I really like. Yeah, he, he’s, he’s fucking awesome. I’m gonna see that movie now. Well, I guess is that is that a wrap? Are we are we? Finally done. Well, all right. Well, thanks for hanging in there, everyone out there, for listening for this three-hour episode. Yeah, tell us to. All right. All right. Luke. All right. I will. I’ll I’ll I’ll say I’ll say hey Luke and you say hey Tim, okay? Yeah. Hey Luke. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. What are you new to this show? Can’t you do anything? I said, hey, Luke, and you go, yeah, I go piece of popcorn. And then you go, hey, Tim. I heard you say, You go, hey Luke. They’ll hate Tim. Which, which, which, which meant I do hate Luke, you respond, yeah, piss popcorn. And then you go, hate Tim. Okay. That’s what I meant.

2:56:31 I didn’t say I didn’t mean to say literally say hey Tim after I said that. All right, ready? Hey Luke. Yeah. Bobcorn. Mm. Item. Yeah. Passive popcorn. Philip. They crippled. Oh shit. Yes.
